New birth brings believers into a life of absolute authority on the earth Mat. 16:19; 18:18. This a dimension of life with capability to declare ‘enough is enough’ to every unwanted issue in his life, and it will be so! Faith is our access to the authority for, and experience of ‘enough is enough’ 1Jn. 5:4; Eph. 6:16; Mk. 11:23. This shows the need for us to have sound understanding of, and be well grounded in biblical faith Psa. 119:144; Nat. 13:23.
What is Faith?
- Faith is not a Religious Ideology It is a Spiritual Mystery.
Ideology means beliefs, values, or thinking patterns of a person or people. Faith is more than this; it is a mystery – divine secret hidden in simple words of scripture with capacity for undeniable impact in the physical 1Tim. 3:9; Heb. 11:11. This means that when it is true faith, it a secret from scripture that will be making great and undeniable impact in life.
- Faith is Not a Principle, Nor A Strategy, it is a Spiritual Force.
A force is an action that causes an object to change its velocity, shape, or resist external aggression. This means that when it is biblical faith, it will make physical impact that will result in changes 1Cor. 2:4; Eph. 6:6.
- Faith is Not a Belief System; It is Engaging with the Power of God.
Faith is more than a belief system; it is bringing God’s power to bear in real situations to deliver desired change. This means that when it is Bible faith, God’s power will be invoked, and the story will be tuned to what is desired Lk. 8:43-48; Acts 14:9-10.
How Powerful is Faith?
What makes a believer vow his life to stand by faith.
- Faith is the Substance of Redemption.
Redemption is man’s escape route from the woes, troubles, and cruelty on the earth Heb. 2:3; 1Jn. 5:18-19. Faith is the life of redemption; take faith out, redemption loses its life Jn. 3:16; Acts 6:7; 2Pet. 1:5-10.
- Faith Empowers for Absolute Authority in Life.
Faith makes a believer operate at a level of authority that nothing on earth can confront or challenge, which makes life answer as he desires Mat. 9:29.
- Faith Triggers Grace that Makes Great.
Every great story is a function of grace, but faith is what invokes grace Eph. 2:8; 1Cor. 15:10.
- Faith Secures God’s Power into Earthly Situations.
When Bible faith comes alive, God’s power is released, turning every concern into a testimony right away Lk. 8:40-48; Mat. 14:36.
How to Keep Our Faith Growing.
- Crave Understanding of the Truth.
The truth is God’s word, which is the principal source of faith Jn. 17:17; Rms. 10:17. Understanding of the truth ignites faith Acts 8:26-27.
- Crave Understanding of Testimonies of Others.
Testimonies are faith boosters; thereby helping others to take delivery of their desired testimonies Isa. 8:16,20; Mat. 9:20-22; 14:35-36. We need understanding of testimonies for it to ignite faith Psa. 119:111,114.
- Cultivate a Good Conscience.
Faith requires a good conscience to grow Acts 24:16. Whatever that contests with God for the heart defiles the conscience, and hinders faith Psa. 16:4.
- Accept the Responsibility.
In the same way that one cannot build another’s muscles for him, so faith cannot be built on behalf of another. It is a personal responsibility Isa. 51:3; Rms. 4:12.
Faith that Empowers for Enough is Enough.
One of the heritages of believers is the authority to determine what can and cannot be in one’s life Mat. 16:18-19; 18:18. Faith is essential to exercise this authority in reality Mat. 17:20; 21:21. What is this faith?
- Curse the Negative and Unwanted Situation.
Every negative situation is not of God, and is ordained to be terminated or uprooted Mat. 13:24-28; 15:13. Each person has the responsibility to uproot the unwanted thing, and this is by declaring the end of the situation Jer. 1:10; Mk. 11:23.
- Call Forth Your Desire.
After terminating the unwanted situation, there is the risk of a recurrence if one’s desire is not enforced Mat. 12:43-45. This is by a cry of faith; calling forth our desires into manifestation Rms. 4:17; Mk. 10:46-52; 1Chr. 4:9-10.
- Engage the Force of Serving God with Specific Expectation.
Serving God is a kingdom force that guarantees negative situations are terminated 2Chr. 15:12,15; Exo. 4:22-23. Serving God does not refer to active church activities, but commitment to the pursuit of souls for Christ towards the advancement of the kingdom and church growth Mk. 16:15-16,20; Acts 6:2-4,7.
Conclusion.
Faith is not a thing to assume, but to be intentionally acquired and cultivated by each person Rms. 10:17. When the faith of any believer comes alive, his life becomes glorious, colorful, and enviable Heb. 11:2-3.
Salvation Prayer.
To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me by the Holy Spirit for the 21 days of prayer and Father, empower me by Your Spirit to give myself to the responsibilities of building faith, enabling me to command breakthroughs throughout this year 9:23.

Faith will always produce good report no matter how bad the situation Heb. 11:2. One good report of faith is healing, health, and wholeness, particularly when it is violent faith Mat. 9:27-29; Mk. 2:5-10; Lk. 8:44-48; Acts 14:8-10. Examples include Hezekiah (Isa. 38:1-5), woman with the issue of blood (Lk. 8:40-48), blind Bartimaeus (Mk. 10:46-52), […]
