ENGAGING THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING TOWARDS FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY 310123 PT. 2.

Memory verse:

“Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.”

“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:”

“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;”

  • Rms. 4:18-20.

God will always speak of the things He plans to do before doing them, this is what is popularly referred to as prophecy Isa. 42:8-9. One assurance of scriptures is that when God do speak, it is sure to be fulfilled Isa. 55:10-11. Each believer has the responsibility to see to the fulfillment of what God has spoken in his life, else it might never come to pass 1Tim 1:18. From scriptures, giving glory to God for what He has declared is the way to make them come to pass in our lives 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36. In essence, we give thanks for what God has ordained to do, which we are yet to see in reality, to activate their fulfillment.

Examining the power of thanksgiving in making prophecy come to fulfillment.

  1. The case of Abraham exemplifies the power of thanksgiving.

The scriptures instruct us to follow examples of those who have obtained the promise Heb. 6:12. At 75 years, God told Abraham He will make of him a great nation and father of nations. The prophecy of becoming fruitful did not come to pass, until at 100 years when Abraham defiled all odds and began to give glory to God for what He has said Rms. 4:17-20. By Abraham’s thanksgiving, he enforced the prophecy into reality.

  • Thanksgiving provokes fulfillment of prophecy.

Whatever God declares will require His hand to deliver it 1Kgs. 8:15. Thanksgiving and praise is a veritable way to invoke God’s hand into manifestation for the delivery of prophecy in our lives 2Chr. 20:17,22-24.

This is a great year that God has designed every winner for great and glorious things. As we accept the demand of thanksgiving, we make the year to speak as ordained by God.
