ENGAGING THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING TOWARDS FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY 300123 PT. 1.

Memory verse:

“Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.”

“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:”

“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;”

  • Rms. 4:18-20.

Prophecy is the declaration of the intention and plan of God for a place, people or person Isa. 43:18-19. This is God’s way of operation; to speak of things before He does them Isa. 42:8-9. When God declares His intention, His integrity becomes committed to its fulfillment Isa. 55:10-11. Remember that we belong to a kingdom that operates by covenant, which means that the believer has responsibilities he must embrace to see any kingdom provision become a reality in his life Deu. 28:1; Jms. 1:25. For the fulfillment of prophecy, thanksgiving is a core responsibility the believer must engage in 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36.

Examining the power of thanksgiving in making prophecy come to fulfillment.

  1. Prayer is a covenant requirement for the fulfillment of prophecy.

The scriptures make us to understand that only what the believer will demand for in prayer, is what he will take delivery of in life, including prophecy Mat. 7:7-8. But every prayer that will deliver result must be accompanied with thanksgiving Php. 4:6; Mat. 6:9-13.

  • Thanksgiving has the capacity to enhance fulfillment of prophecy.

To enhance means to intensify, increase, or improve; in essence, thanksgiving will intensify prophecy fulfillment. From scriptures, we saw Jesus declare that His church will be built and no opposition can stop it Mat. 16:18. The apostles kept the early church growing as they kept celebrating God, in fulfillment of this prophecy Acts 2:47; 5:40-42; 6:7.

God has declared glorious things about us this year. Everyone that will see them come to fulfillment must commit to thanksgiving as a lifestyle.
