ENGAGING THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING FOR FULFILMENT OF PROPHECY PT. 6.

Memory verse:

“And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with

his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,”

  • 1Kgs. 8:15.

Prophecies are pronouncements from God concerning a future that He has made ready, which God is committed to bring into reality Isa. 14:24,27. Though prophecies are declarations by God, but they won’t come to fulfilment by themselves. Every prophecy that will be fulfilled has to be enforced by application of relevant kingdom force. We have established from scriptures that thanksgiving and praise guarantee the fulfilment of prophecy. How?

Scriptures make us to understand that thanksgiving is God’s will for the believer in whatever situation he finds himself in life 1Ths. 5:18. When the will of God is done by the believer, he has positioned himself for the delivery of whatever God has promised Heb. 10:36. In essence, celebrating God for what He has spoken is doing the will of God, this will invoke God to make His promise become a reality in the believers’ life.

Scriptural Example of the Fulfilment of Prophecy through Thanksgiving and Praise.

  1. Hannah.

Hannah was the second wife of an Israelite called Elkanah, but has the challenge of being barren 1Sam. 1:1-2. She went to Shiloh and petitioned her case before God with a deep heart cry, and she received a prophetic word from Eli the prophet of God giving her the desire of her heart 1Sam. 1:15-17. But scriptures has the record that it was as Hannah began to be joyful and rejoice that the prophetic word became fulfilled 1Sam. 1:18-20. Her thanksgiving and celebration of God for what He has spoken moved God to action to perform His word in her life.

God never lies, and His word never fails Tit. 1:2; Heb. 6:16. But believer often don’t experience His word or promise come to reality in their lives because we are yet to learn the way to enforce it. For instance, God’s word says the church of Christ is ordained for continuous growth Pro. 4:18. It therefore means, with continuous thanksgiving and praise, we are sure to keep scaling new height in church growth Acts 2:47.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive a fresh baptism of the garment of praise thereby empowering me for the lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise like never before Isa. 61:1,3.

Action.

Identify the areas where it spears God promises are failing in your life, and make that the focus of your thanksgiving and praise today.

Priestly Blessings.

Whatever that makes your head to be bowed is cursed right now!

I decree the outpouring of the oil of joy on your life to make you flow ceaselessly in thanksgiving and praise from now!
