Memory verse:
“And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with
his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,”
- 1Kgs. 8:15.
God does not speak just to excite the people, God speaks essentially to perform His word in reality Isa. 55:11-12; 2Pet. 1:19-20. We only need to understand the spiritual dynamics to make a prophetic word come to fulfilment. Among other things, scriptures make us to understand that thanksgiving and praise will guarantee the fulfilment of any prophetic word. How? It takes the hand of God to bring any prophecy to fulfilment, thanksgiving and praise guarantee the invocation of God’s hand into a situation for the delivery of whatever the mouth of God has spoken 1Kgs. 8:15; Exo. 15:11.
We need to remember that every word of scriptures is prophetic; it is the surest form of prophecy 2Pet. 1:19. Therefore, to see whatever is contained in scriptures brought to open manifestation in a believer’s life, demand that the believer engage the force of thanksgiving and praise on it. God has lots of great promises for His children in scriptures, many fail to see them become a reality because they are yet to understand this spiritual dynamics 2Pet. 1:4.
Scriptural Example of the Fulfilment of Prophecy through Thanksgiving and Praise.
- Abraham.
Abraham as at seventy-five years of age was childless and a financially dependent on his father, but had a prophetic word from God concerning his change of story Gen. 12:1-3; 18:12. God promised to make him great, and give him a son from his old wife Sarah. This appeared far-fetched to men, but scriptures has it that Abraham invoked God’s hand to deliver what He has promised him by giving glory to God despite of the contrary situation to the promises Rms. 4:17-21. The end result was that he took delivery of everything that God promised him, and he has become the father of faith today Gen. 21:1-3.
Whatever God has said to you, He is committed to make it come to fulfilment, no matter how the situation appears to be. But we must accept the responsibility of enforcing them to reality with our thanksgiving and praise. Remember, scriptures promises the continuous growth of the church of Christ Matt. 16:18. Therefore, with thanksgiving and praise, we are guaranteed the unstoppable church growth Acts. 2:47.
