ENGAGING THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING FOR FULFILMENT OF PROPHECY PT. 2.

Memory verse:

“And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with

his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,”

  • 1Kgs. 8:15.

Our God is the God who has the nature of repeating what He has done over and again Mal. 3:6. Whatever He has done before is what He will do again; only that the strategy or approach may differ Eccl. 1:9. From scriptures, God brought the Israelite into their Promised Land at the end of 40 years Deut. 8:1-2,7. Therefore, we have the confidence of our entry into our Promised Land with the 40th anniversary of the Liberation Mandate, which we just concluded Sunday May 9th 2021.

Scriptures make us to understand that it is one thing to step into the Promised Land and another to take real possession of one’s portion of the land Jos. 18:2-3. We established from scriptures in yesterday’s teaching that thanksgiving and praise are the requirements to actualize any prophetic word 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36. Remember, the Promised Land is a prophetic land; therefore, thanksgiving and praise is what will guarantee the possession of one’s portion in the land.

Scriptural Example of the Fulfilment of Prophecy through Thanksgiving and Praise.

  1. Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah.

The small nation of Judah was confronted by three great nations in battle 2Chr. 20:1-3. King Jehoshaphat was perplexed, he gathered the entire nation and they called on God 2Chr. 20:5-13. Then a prophetic word came forth that they will not need to fight in the battle, God will fight for them 2Chr. 20:17. And as they began to sing and praise, God indeed took over the battle and gave them victory in a grand style 2Chr. 20:22-24.

Therefore, the lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise gives us the guarantee of practical possession of our promised land both as a church and as individuals. Therefore, as long as we retain the joy of harvest, the church will continue to experience supernatural growth Joel 1:11-12.
