Memory verse:
“And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with
his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,”
- 1Kgs. 8:15.
We give God all the glory for the success of the just concluded 40th Anniversary of the Liberation commission which we had in a-week long prophetic feast. What a refreshing, impactful and amazing week it was! By this anniversary, God has ushered us as a commission and every member into the Promised Land Deut. 8:7-10. We know this because we serve a God that does not change, what He did before is what He will do again Mal. 3:6; Heb. 13:8. But the Promised Land is a prophetic; it was spoken by the mouth of God Deut. 8:7. We understand from scriptures that no prophetic word can be fulfilled in the energy of the flesh 1Sam. 2:9. It takes the hand of God to see whatever God declared come to fulfilment 1Kgs. 8:15,24.
Therefore, to actualize our occupation of the Promised Land, we need to invoke God’s hand to work. One guaranteed way we do this is by thanksgiving and praise 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36. This means for us to experience the Promised Land God has brought us into, thanksgiving and praise must become our lifestyle.
We shall be studying this week some scriptural examples of how thanksgiving and praise has enforced fulfilment of prophetic word. This is to strengthen our faith in our pursuit of experiencing the reality of the Promised Land by these forces.
Scriptural Example of the Fulfilment of Prophecy through Thanksgiving and Praise.
- Jesus, the Christ.
Jesus had declared that the time has come when the dead shall hear His voice and rise Jn. 5:25. Then came the news of Lazarus sickness, with the request for Jesus to come and heal him Jn. 11:1-3. A delay in Jesus’ response made Lazarus to have been dead for four days before His arrival Jn. 11:38-40. Jesus got to the grave of Lazarus and gave thanks to God contrary to the opinion of the people Jn. 11: 20-23,37,41. Then, He called for Lazarus, and the dead came forth out of the region of death Jn. 11:43-44. In essence, thanksgiving brought the prophetic word that went forth from Him into practical fulfilment.
We have been brought into our Promised Land, a land where everything works. But we must understand that this will become the reality as we engage in the lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise. Therefore, as we keep the lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise, we shall see as the church will experience supernatural dimension of growth, and each one will be scaling new heights Acts 2:46-47; Psa. 67:3-7.
Jesus is Lord!
