ENGAGING THE POWER OF JOY AND REJOICING PT. 6.

Memory verse:

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”

“Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.”

  • Php. 4:4-5.

Scriptures make us to understand that one fundamental requirement in the kingdom of God is joy that cannot be humanly explained Rms. 14:17; 1Pet. 1:18. In essence, the believer that will gain access to all that Christ has made available in the kingdom must embrace the virtue of joyfulness Isa. 12:3. All other forces in God’s kingdom require joy as the foundation for them to be effective in their delivery Isa. 12:3. This is why believers that are joyful don’t sweat like others to get things done, they appear not to do anything and great things are happening for them.

The believer only needs a sound understanding of how to be joyful in life Psa. 119:144. Joy is a fruit of the Spirit, therefore it is not imparted on a man Gal. 5:22. To be joyful begins with a decision, the decision that ‘I will be joyful no matter what’ Duet. 30:19. Joy can only be sustained by a commitment to the decision for joy. The understanding of the power of joy is what empowers the believer for this decision and commitment. This is why we have been studying what the virtue of joy has to offer when a believer embraces it. As you take heed to this truth being revealed, I can see your life step into a new horizon.

The Power of Joy.

  1. It is commits God to open our prison doors.

There are too many prison doors in life; and anytime an individual is not making desires progress in any area. It is an indication of being held down by a prison door. With joy, the believer automatically invokes divine presence, which makes all prison doors to open of their own Psa. 16:11; 24:7-10; Acts 16:25-26. There is no believer that maintains a joyful life that is ever imprisoned by the enemy. Check it, the believer that smiles always seem never to have any problem in life.

  • It secures our tomorrow.

Scriptures make us to understand that joy imparts strength to the believer, and this keeps the believer going no matter the pressure, discouragement or opposition until he arrives at destiny Neh. 8:10. Joy and rejoicing is has the capacity to clear off every opposition, thereby getting us to our desired destination in life Hab. 3:17-19. Even Jesus engaged it to be able to finish His race on the earth Heb. 12:1-2.

One thing the believer must avoid in order to remain joyful is becoming offended in God; it will only complicate issues Matt. 11:6; Lk. 17:1. When it appears things are not working, understand God is working behind the scene to deliver a bigger result than we were expecting. Be blessed!
