ENGAGING THE POWER OF EXPECTATION FOR ENTRY INTO OUR PROMISED LAND PT. 2.

Memory verse:

“For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks

of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;”

“A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates;

 a land of oil olive, and honey;”

“A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not

 lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills

 thou mayest dig brass.”

“When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy

 God for the good land which he hath given thee.”

The scriptures make us to understand that there is a promised land prepared for every child of God Deut. 8:7; 2Sam. 7:10. The land is described as a good land, another type of Garden of Eden where one will have only good experiences Deut. 8:7-10. We must understand that God’s responsibility is to prepare and lead His child to the Promised Land, stepping into it is the personal responsibility of the child of God. What is the responsibility to access one’s Promised Land?

From scriptures, we identified this as expectation Pro. 23:18. When God prepared the Promised Land for the Israelite, and led them to the brink of the land. He instructed Moses to send ten (10) spies into the land to bring good report back to the people Num. 13:1-3,17-20. This was to create beautiful pictures in them (expectation), which will empower them to possess the land. Only the two (2) that did had the right expectation entered the Promised Land.

Understanding How Expectation Works to Deliver Result Without Delay.

  1. Expectation empowers our intercessions to deliver on the prayer altar.

No matter how fervent, intense and heart-felt the prayer is, without expectation it cannot deliver the result desired Mk. 11:24; Heb. 11:1. And scriptures say that our prayer is essential to access what we deserve and is prepared for us Jms. 4:2-3; Jn. 16:23-24. In essence, expectation is the fundamental covenant force that invokes God to make our engagement on the prayer altar to deliver our desire. We saw this clearly exemplified in the life of David 2Sam. 5:18-20,25-26; 1Sam. 30:6-9.

We have been praying assiduously towards the upcoming 40th anniversary because we believe we serve the God who delights in repeating what He has done before Mal. 3:6. He brought the Israelite into their promised land at the 40th year, He will do same for us in this 40th anniversary. But we must keep seeing the reality of what we have prayed for, in order to possess our own land of promise. I see this 40th anniversary answer for you!
