ENGAGING THE MYSTERY OF THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE FOR FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY PT. 6.

Memory verse:

“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead,

when he was about an hundred ears old, neither yet the deadness of

 Sara’s womb:”

“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was

strong in faith, giving glory to God;”

“And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able

 also to perform.”

  • Rom 4:19-21.

God’s kingdom to which we belong is a kingdom of mysteries; the mysteries have the power to confer on the believer mastery over life affairs Eph. 3:5-10. But it is the understanding of these mysteries that makes for the empowerment of the believer, and to maximize the blessings of the kingdom Mk. 4:11. From scriptures, we understand that thanksgiving and praise are mysteries in God’s kingdom. What is a mystery? It is simply a truth embedded in the story of the bible. Remember, truth is the most powerful force in life 2Cor. 13:8; Jn. 8:32.

In essence, thanksgiving and praise are more than what the traditional Christian has taken it to be. Of vital relevance is the power of thanksgiving and praise to make whatever God has declared to come to fulfillment no matter the odds. How, someone may ask? The hand of God is what can deliver whatever His mouth has declared 1Kgs. 8:15. When the believer engage in thanksgiving and praise, God’s hand is invoked and every word God has spoken are enforced to fulfillment Exo. 15:11. There are examples in scripture that validate this truth, we shall take a look at one of them in this teaching. Be blessed and engraced for the praise lifestyle.

Scriptural Example of fulfillment of prophecy through thanksgiving.

  1. The example of Christ.

Jesus Christ came to earth first to shed his blood thereby redeem man from sin. The second is to show man how to live the kingdom life on the earth. This is why scriptures refer to Jesus as the perfect example for the believer to follow Heb. 12:1-2; 1Cor.11:1. In one of His teachings while on earth, Jesus said the hour for the dead to hear His voice and live has come Jn. 5:25. Not long after then, Lazarus died before Jesus got there Jn. 11:39. Jesus got to the tomb of Lazarus, gave God thanks and called Lazarus. Lazarus who was dead for four days came back to life in fulfillment of the prophetic word Jn. 11:40-44. Thanksgiving empowered Jesus to take delivery of prophecy, what He did any believer can do same Jn. 12:14.

Therefore, with thanksgiving and praise the believer has the power to keep the church of Christ growing continuously, and to see the prophetic word of turnaround for the year come to practical fulfilment Acts 2:46-47.
