Memory verse:

“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead,

when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of

 Sara’s womb:”

“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was

strong in faith, giving glory to God;”

“And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able

 also to perform.”

  • Rom 4:19-21.

Many in life are living in fear, and the common one is the fear of tomorrow. This is because man is highly limited; he does not have the capacity for right judgment that has guarantee of determining the future Jer. 10:23-24. Man can only make assumptions, which often come out wrong Pro. 14:12; 16:25. This is where the believer has advantage, He has God who owns the future and has concluded it already Jer. 29:11; Rms. 8:29-30. The good news is that God in His love does not leave His children in the dark of tomorrow, He makes it known to each one Isa. 42:8-9; Amos 3:7. The believer must then accept the responsibility to see it become a reality in his life.

We must understand that whatever future God has and shows the believer, it will require His hand to bring it to pass 1Kgs. 8:15; 1Ths. 5:24. Therefore, to experience the future God has planned, the believer need to understand how to move God’s hand to work. Scriptures make us to understand that thanksgiving is the covenant force that invokes God to work to deliver His prophetic word and plan 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36. In this week’s teachings, we shall be studying the scriptures on example of individuals who enforced the fulfillment of God’s plan and prophetic word by engaging the power of thanksgiving and praise Heb. 6:12.

Scriptural Example of fulfillment of prophecy through thanksgiving.

  1. The example of Abraham.

At seventy-five, God revealed His plan of fruitfulness to Abraham by a prophetic word Gen. 12:1-3; 18:12. By the timetable of man and medical science, this case is closed and not possible with Abraham again. But when it is God, He does not need time to deliver His agenda. He is time and only need the believer to cooperate with Him. What did Abraham do to take delivery of this prophetic word? Scriptures say he was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and the prophecy came to fulfillment like a dream of the night Rms. 4:19-21; Gen. 21:1-3,6. God is no respecter of persons, so He will bring His agenda to pass for anyone who will partner with Him in thanksgiving and praise Acts. 10:34-35.

God’s plan for His church is continuous growth until she becomes the center of all things Matt. 16:18; Pro. 4:18. Also, God has spoken concerning the believer this year that His plan is ‘Turnaround’ for all Psa. 126:1-3. All that we require is to engage the forces of thanksgiving and praise to actualize these prophetic agenda in our lives Jer. 30:19.
