Memory verse:

“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but

 the labourers are few;”

“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

  • Mat. 9:37-38.

Scriptures make it clear to us that in the growth of the church is the glory of the saints Jer. 30:19; Pro. 14:28; 1Sam. 2:30. In essence, when the church is experiencing supernatural explosion, the engaging believer will be experiencing supernatural elevation of status simultaneously. This is one strong reason for our tireless drive for the supernatural growth of the church. It is not for the pastor to emerge a ‘big-shot’ in the community, but for the saints to emerge in their God ordained glorious destiny. When believers have this understanding, their pursuit of church growth will need no more encouragement.

We have established from scriptures that the third person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit, is the Lord of the harvest Matt. 9:37-38; Lk. 10:1-2. By implication, it means the Holy Spirit is responsible for the harvest of souls into the kingdom that will culminate in church growth. Therefore, we need the understanding of the mission of the Holy Spirit as the Lord of the harvest, and particularly on how to invoke Him to work Eccl. 10:15. As we explore this in today’s teaching, I see the light of God shine on you in a new way.

How the Holy Spirit Operates as the Lord of the harvest for Church Growth.

  1. The Holy Spirit empowers the saints to flow in supernatural wisdom, thereby harvesting multitudes into the kingdom Pro. 11:30; Dan. 12:3.

Church growth is warfare, and wars are won through strategies more than weaponry Pro. 24:6; 21:22. With wisdom, one can take over a city without struggle Eccl. 9:14-16. The Holy Spirit imparts supernatural wisdom on the saints, thereby empowering them to cheaply take over their territories for the kingdom.

  • The Holy Spirit invokes supernatural church growth through signs and wonders Acts 5:14-15; 9:36-43; 14:3.

Every supernatural act is the work of the Holy Spirit. We know that signs, wonders, and miracles are tools that attract multitude. The Holy Spirit works the supernatural through the saints thereby causing multitude to troop after them into the church.

It is the responsibility of the church to stir the Holy Spirit to work for the supernatural growth of the church. And one way to do this is, maintaining oneness and unity among the brethren Acts. 2:1-4. When we labor at unity within the church, the growth of the church becomes irresistible.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, we demand for the outpouring and move of the Holy Spirit in a new way in this land begin with this church, resulting in the drafting of every unsaved across the land in to this church come next Sunday Acts 2:6.

Action.

All through today, pray against every operation of hell against the unity of brethren in this church, or your local assembly.

Priestly Blessings.

Every force of hell working against the togetherness and unity of brethren in this assembly is crushed now! I decree the release of divine wisdom to take over your territory for God’s kingdom now!
