Memory verse:

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made

ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?”

“Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so

 doing.”

“Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.”

  • Matt. 24:45-47.

Stewardship is the believer’s access to the blessing, glory and honor of the kingdom Exo. 23:25; Job 36:11. In essence, an individual can become a member of God’s kingdom and be counting years without having any tangible evidence of the blessing, unless he becomes committed to serving God and the interest of His kingdom as a lifestyle Jos. 18:2-3. But scriptures make us to understand that the kingdom of God does not operate by a hit and run system. Rather, everything in the kingdom answers only to those who will be steadfast and committed to the end Matt. 24:13. The pattern in the kingdom is that everything speaks at the end, the due season ordained by God Hab. 2:3; Gal. 6:9.

The believer’s stewardship will only produce as we remain committed until the end and the due season. To remain so committed requires the grace of God at work in our lives Acts 26:22. Therefore, we all need the grace for continuity to remain committed to the end Acts 26:22; 1Cor. 15:10.

Scriptural Examples of Men with Grace for Continuity.

  1. Elisha.

Elisha was a prophet of God in Israel, who took over the mantle of Elijah with proofs to show 2Kgs. 2:9-15; 3:13-14. Scriptural record show us that Elisha remained a faithful prophet of the Lod to the end, to the extent that after his death, his dry bones raised a dead man back to life 2Kgs. 1314,20-21.

  • Simeon the prophet.

Simeon was a prophet in Israel, who God showed the vision of the birth of the Messiah and the redemption of Israel. He remained committed in prayer to the end for the fulfillment of God’s agenda, after which he prayed ‘let now thy servant depart in peace’ Lk. 2:29.

  • Gehazi.

Gehazi was the servant of Elisha who was to take over the mantle of the prophet’s office. He started well as we saw Elisha having the confidence to send him with his staff to raise the dead child of the widow 2Kgs. 4:29-31. Bible record has it that Gehazi crashed through his love for money 2Kgs. 5:26-27.

Life is an individual race, with each one making his choice for his he will run and end the race. For everyone that desires to make to the end, we must connect the grace for continuity Acts 26:22.
