“But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.”

• Lk. 11:21-22.

Church growth is not about having a bigger building, but increase in the number of the people converted from the life of sin to live God’s life Acts 2:47. This is the will of God, to have men reconciled back to God and abide with Him 1Tim. 2:4. The growth of the church is a delight to God Lk. 12:32. But the growth of the church is faced with stiff opposition by the powers of darkness Mat. 16:18. The good news is that light is the answer to darkness any time, any day Jn. 1:5. In essence, for the church to experience growth, believers need to engage the power of light to disarm the resistance of the powers of darkness. In every battle, one need skill to experience victory.

The way to victory over opposition to church growth.

1. Church growth is warfare and it is against principalities and powers.

These are spirit beings that rule the kingdom of darkness, with the mission to hold territories in Satan’s captivity Eph. 6:12-13. Any church sited within the territory of a principality or power, must destroy their authority in order to experience growth.

• Satanic powers against church growth are silenced via divine judgment.

The king of Assyria can be likened to principality or power; he came against, and intended to bring the nation of Israel under his authority as he did to other nations. He would have succeeded except that Isaiah the prophet brought him under divine judgment, to stop his arrogant aggression 2Kgs. 19:8-13,32-34.

• Stop the mouth of those out to scatter the flock of Christ.

There are those who by their words are out to scatter and prevent people from gathering unto God in the church, such must be stopped for the church to grow Acts 20:29-31; Mat. 12:30.

We are in our best time ever; we only need to accept responsibility to maximize the moment. It is a season God has promised to give each one a 4-level dimension of change, as we respond to the demand of winning a soul for Christ per week.

Prayer.                                                

Father in the name of Jesus, by the blood of the covenant I invoke divine judgment on all opposition to the salvation of men and their ingathering to church this week Exo. 12:12-12,41-42.

Action.

Get on the field, and go after souls for Christ.
