Memory verse:

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”

  • Pro. 23:7.

New birth brings the believer into a kingdom or dimension of life that offers great promises, which guarantees profits 2Pet. 1:3-4. Our God is a rewarder, who does not use people rather He rewards for every input each one makes in life Heb. 11:6. Remember, life on the earth is a function of seedtime and harvest Gen. 8:22. In essence, profit will be in response to the investment or input a man makes. But we have many in life who engage tirelessly in kingdom service, but have nothing to show for it. Why? There is a fundamental law that guides profitability in life, the law is that the mind or heart of a man determines what his efforts will deliver to him Pro. 23:7. In essence, no matter how much a believer labors, if he will enjoy profits he needs to possess the right mindset.

The Scriptural Mindset a Believer must Possess for Profits in Life.

  1. We must possess a sower’s mentality.

What does a sower’s mentality mean?

  1. The understanding that every labor the believer makes in the kingdom is a seed he has sown, and every seed guarantees harvest Gal. 6:7-8; Pro. 14:23. In essence, everything done in the kingdom is a seed sown into one’s life; prayer engagement, soul winning, punctuality in church services, active participation in home-cell, financial kingdom promotion, giving to the needy etc.
  2. The understanding that when we sow our seed, though our harvest may not come over night but it is sure Mk. 4:26-29; Mat. 6:6,17-18. Therefore, with the mind we must keep seeing the harvest in order to take delivery in reality Pro. 23:18.
  3. The cases of Anna and Epaphras are vivid examples in scriptures; they sowed spiritual seeds in prayers, and had great profits Lk. 2:36-37; Col. 4:12.

Therefore, a sower’s mentality is one covenant force that will empower the believer for steadfastness in stewardship until the due profit is delivered 1Cor. 15:58.
