Memory verse:
“And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of
man should be glorified.”
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the
ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much
fruit.”
- Jn. 12:23-24.
The scriptures make us to understand that God’s kingdom is a kingdom of giants, no mediocre, no dwarf Mat. 5:13-14. Who is a giant? It is an individual who stands out by reason of result and impact in life. At salvation, which is the point a man becomes a citizen of God’s kingdom; the seed of greatness is deposited in the believer giving him the capacity to emerge a giant Mk. 4:30:32. But the glory of a seed is in being planted into the appropriate soil, without which it will remain as a seed Jn. 12:23-25. The seed of greatness in the believer demands being planted in the soil of God’s kingdom to become a giant. This means dedication to God and the affairs of His kingdom. In essence, the scriptures make dedication the covenant platform for the rise of giants in God’s kingdom Psa. 87:5-7; Rms. 8:35-39.
Scriptural Example of Giant made on the Platform of Dedication.
- The Example of Daniel.
Daniel was one of the teenage Jews that Nebuchadnezzar took out of Jerusalem as war captives Dan. 1:3-7. From his teen to his old age, Daniel demonstrated uncommon and consistent dedication to God. As a teen, he refused to be defiled by his environment Dan. 1:8. Later, he refused to be identified with any other god by openly standing in allegiance with God, even to the detriment of his position and life Dan. 6:4-12. Daniel refused to change his stand for God when it means being thrown into lion’s den Dan. 6:13-17. Scriptures show us that the dedication of Daniel granted him access to divine secrets that elevated his status Dan. 2:19,46. And Daniel ended up a leader of renown in the greatest kingdom of his days, and this was for many years, which lasted to the end of his life Dan. 6:28.
Daniel was lifted by the hand of God in a strange land with no human help; all of these by reason of his dedication to God and His course. God will do same in the life of any that will be dedicated in like manner Mal. 3:6; Rms.. 15:4.
