Memory verse:
“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,”
“Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” Acts 2:46-47.
A revival can be simply defined as the visitation of God in the midst of men in a dimension they have never experienced Exo. 19:11-12. Just like in the natural, the king cannot visit a place or people and they will remain the same. So, every time there is a visitation of God to a place or people, it is characterized by dramatic advancement, growth, and expansion Acts 2:46-47. But the scriptures make it clear that only fruitful stewards are entitled to be beneficiaries in a revival Lk 19:17-19.
The benefits of committing to a revival?
In every revival, the presence of God in manifestation impacts on the lives of mere men, and turns them into agents of change in life Isa. 61:1-2,4-7; Acts 17:6.
One vital outcome of every visitation of God is the outpouring of His blessings on the people and the land, which will terminate drought and dryness Joel 2:23-29; Isa. 44:3-4.
When God visits, it is our labor that we have invested out of love for Him that qualifies us for the blessing He has for His people 1Cor. 3:8; Rms. 2:6.
