I sat musing in the Holy Spirit and penned the following:

“The status of a believer is not a function of his geographical location, but of his

 God” Gen. 26:1-3,12-14.

“The greatness of a child of God is not defined by has biological background, but

 by his spirituality” 1Tim. 4:7-8.

“The rise of a believer is not age determined, but by the understanding of the times

and seasons of life” 1Chr. 12:32; Eccl. 9:11.

By the understanding of scriptures, we know we are in the midst of the year, which is a revival season, the season of the rise of giants in the church Hab. 3:2,17-19.

What is a Revival?

  1. A revival is a move of the Spirit that stirs the spirit of men to commit to kingdom advancement endeavours 2Chr. 15:3-7,12-15; Hag. 1:5-14; 2:3-9.

In essence, the Holy Spirit in manifestation and at work practically among men is what we call a revival.

  • A revival is a move of the Spirit ordained to terminate all frustration and afflictions of God’s people, thereby turning them to the envy of their world Hab. 3:2-6,17-19; Zph. 3:17-20.

In essence, we don’t talk of revival unless there is an outpouring of the Spirit of God in a new way upon God’s children and the people. When the Holy Spirit is poured out, and He is at work there are things that will be happening, they are the evidences of a revival.

How to Know A Revival.

  1. When the word of God continues to come alive in one’s heart in increasing dimensions Jer. 31:34; Acts 19:20.

When the appetite for God’s word increases, and the understanding of God’s word multiplies, there is a revival.

  1. When one continues to experience the manifestation of the Spirit of prayer and supplication in his life Zch. 10:12; 8:20-23; Rms. 8:26.

When praying and prayer, particularly for God’s kingdom and others, become the delight of a believer, then there is revival.

  1. When going to church becomes a way of life Psa. 84:!-7; Acts 2:46.

There is truly a revival when being in God’s house has become a thing of joy, delight and an addiction.

What is a Revival for Us?

  1. Unleashing of financial fortune Hag. 2:3-9; Zph. 1:17; Lk. 16:11.

Every time a believer’s interest is turned towards God’s kingdom, his financial life takes surge. This is because the pursuit of God’s kingdom releases divine favor on the believer, which results in financial breakthrough.

  • Our needs are supernaturally met Lk. 22:35; Phil. 4:15-19.

For everyone that is committed to the pursuit of the advancement of God’s kingdom, God is committed to the supernatural supply of all their needs.

  • A life of divine health 2Cor. 5:18-20; Pro. 13:17; Exo. 23:25-26.

When one commits to the pursuit of kingdom advancement, God becomes committed to keep the individual fit, strong and healthy.

  • The flow of the supernatural Matt. 29:18-20; Mk. 16:15-17,20; Acts 5:12-14.

Scriptures make us to understand that a commitment to kingdom advancement is a key to the world of the supernatural. In essence, a believer that makes kingdom advancement a lifestyle will operate in the supernatural as a way of life.

In conclusion, we are in the church season, when the believer is ordained to be turned into the spectacle of his world. But it is only the believer that engages in the revival that will experience this. Every revival is stirred and sustained by prayer, hence to be a partaker of the blessings of this revival, one must be a part of the prayer movement.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

Prayer.

Father, in the name of Jesus, pour upon me the Spirit of grace and supplication, thereby empower to be a full partaker of this revival Zch. 10:12.
