Memory verse:
“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.”
“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
- Hab. 2:1-3.
The scriptures make us to understand that our God is a faithful God, who cannot fail on His word Isa. 55:10-11; Deu. 7:9. When God speaks, whatever He says has the guarantee to come to pass as He said. Whatever God says is sure to be made fully manifest at the end Hab. 2:2-3. No matter how disappointing the believer’s experience is, if he waits confidently on God by His word to the end there shall be the full delivery of what God’s has spoken. This understanding about God will make a believer to confidently wait on God until His word comes to fulfillment Job 14:14. When is the end, it is when God’s word become fully manifest in one’s life. What then is the believer to be doing before the end?
Our Responsibilities in holding on to the end for full Delivery of vision.
- We must remain on duty to the end.
We belong to a ‘hit and stick’ not ‘hit and run’ kingdom. The believer must remain steadfast in doing what God has assigned for him to do to the end. This is what entitles for the full manifestation of what God has said Mat. 25:45-47; Lk 19:17-19.
- We must continue to acknowledge Christ, the builder of all things.
The scriptures make it clear that despite the effort of man, God is the ultimate builder in life Heb. 3:4; Psa. 127:1-2. In church growth, Christ is the Master builder Mat. 16:18; Jn. 15:5. To get Him to keep building His church, we must keep acknowledging Him, and He will confer fearful order of growth Psa. 28:5; 67:5-7.
