Prophecies are God’s declaration of what He has prepared for a people, person or place Exo. 23:20; 1Cor. 2:9. They are things that have already been prepared by God, which are ordained for delivery in reality Eph. 1:3. In essence, they are realities in God’s realm already, but news on the earth.
How Powerful are Prophecies?
In essence, what gives the guarantee of the fulfilment of what God declares?
- God speaks according to His creative power.
Anything God says, His power is able to make happen; even when it has never existed before Lk. 5:17; Jn. 11:39-44.
- God speaks according to His unlimited resources.
When God says a thing, He has enough in resources to get the job accomplished 2Kgs. 7:1-2,3-20; Hag. 2:7-8.
In essence, whatever God declares is sure to be delivered in reality no matter what the physical situation looks like.
The Believer’s Responsibility for Prophecy Fulfilment.
Scriptures makes us to understand that the believer has his responsibility before prophecy can be fulfilled in his life Deu. 2:24; 1Tim. 1:18. Faith is the scriptural responsibility for the believer to see fulfilment of prophecy Lk. 1:45; Isa. 53:1; 1Kgs. 8:15. When the faith of the believer comes alive, whatever God has declared is empowered to come to fulfilment.
What is Faith and Does it Facilitates Fulfilment of Prophecy.
What is faith? Faith is unwavering confidence in God that makes the believer to despise what is in the physical to obey God, thereby moving God to deliver His word Lk. 5:3-8; Mat. 14:23-29. How does faith facilitate prophecy fulfilment?
- Faith empowers the believer to stand strong to the end.
Everyone that will see prophecy fulfilled must keep holding on until the desired testimony is delivered Hab. 2:2-3; Heb. 10:38. Faith is the covenant force that strengthens the believer to be resilient and strong in the pursuit of prophecy fulfilment Rms. 4:20-21; Jn. 8:39.
- Faith empowers the believer to remain confident in the validity of the prophetic word.
The believer’s confidence is his access to delivery of what God has prepared, which was declared Heb. 10:35-36. When the believer loses his confidence in what God has said, he has lost his access to the fulfilment of it. Faith is booster of believer’s confidence in God and what He has promised Psa. 125:1-3; Php. 3:3.
- Faith empowers the believer to remain at peace with God and self.
Every prophetic word can only be delivered by the gad of God at work 1Kgs. 8:15,24. Scriptures show us that peace is the covenant force that stirs the hand of God to work Exo. 14:14; Psa. 46:10; Php. 4:6-7. Faith knocks out fear from a believer and establishes him in peace, no matter what obtains on the outside Mk. 4:37-40.
- Faith empowers the believer to rejoice in spite of what may be happening in the contrary.
Joy is a vital covenant requirement essential to experience the fulfilment of prophecy 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36. Faith is a facilitator of joy in the believer; it will keep the believer rejoicing in spite of contrary situation, which will result in forceful delivery of prophecy Rms. 4:20-21; Joel 1:11-12; Hab. 3:17-19.
In conclusion, as long as the believer will get his faith alive, God’s word is sure to be fulfilled, with speed, and within the time frame. This shall be your year of fulfilment of prophecy.
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for
Prayer.
Father, in the name of Jesus and by the power of your Spirit, deliver me of every unbelief and impart me with the Spirit of faith to empower me for full delivery of every prophecy of the year 2Cor. 4:13.
