The Bible is not a history book, not a religious text; it is a book of mysteries loaded with wonders (Mk. 4:11; Psa. 119:18). When believers catch the revelation of these wonders in the word, it invokes dramatic transformations as their lives turn to wonders (Gen. 13:14-15; 2Cor. 3:18). The question is, what are these wonders in the word?

What is in the Word?

1. The Wonder of Power.

God’s Word is the Carrier of God’s Power; God’s power is loaded in His word (Heb. 1:3; Lk. 5:17). This is why encounter in God’s word does not leave a man the same (Lk. 5:3-8; Rms. 1:16).

2. The Wonder of the Supernatural.

God’s Word is Supernatural, because God’s word is Spirit (Jn. 6:63). In the realm of the spirit, it is a living force that rules; when believers engage it, God’s word emits the supernatural (Mat. 8:8,13; Mk. 4:23).

3. The Wonder of Deliverance.

God’s Word Delivers; in God’s word are forces of deliverance, capable of setting free from all satanic shackles (Jn. 8:32; Mat. 8:16; Isa. 5:13). When the understanding of the truth of God’s word dawns on a believer, his life is flooded with light, resulting in instant and unquestionable dominion (Jn. 1:5; Eph. 5:8).

How to Tap into the Wonders of the Word.

1. Be Born Again.

Being born again is a must to gain access to any provision of the kingdom (Jn. 3:3,5; 1:12).

2. Commitment to Walk in the Light of God’s Word.

God hates waste; He grants access to wonders in His word only to those who will use it, and obedience to the word is the way to put the wonders of the word to use (Jms. 1:22-25; Jn. 6:12). A commitment to obey or walk in the light of the word is vital to access the wonders in the word (Jn. 8:12; 12:35; 1:1-5; Isa. 60:1-3).

3. Possess a Meek Spirit.

Meekness refers to the quality of being open to correction and learning. This is essential to have access to the wonders and virtues of the word (Psa. 25:9; Num. 12:3; Exo. 11:3).

Conclusion.

Anyone does not need more than the word to give the desired shape to his life (Heb. 11:3). It only requires accepting responsibility to labor in, and word with the word.

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

1. Father, endow me with grace to embrace the demands for accessing the wonders in the word, and experiencing the benefits (1Cor. 15:10).
