The end-time church is ordained to walk in dominion in all sphere of life Psa. 110:1-3; Eph. 3:9-10. Health is a major area that this dominion will be manifested, which implies we shall walk in dominion over sicknesses and diseases Jer. 30:17; Rms. 16:20. We need the understanding of kingdom provisions or weapons and how to engage them, to experience the fulfilment of this end-time agenda Psa. 119:144.

The Weapons for Dominion Over Sickness and Disease.

  1. The Word of God.

God’s word empowers for dominion over sickness and disease Mat. 8:16-17; Psa. 107:20. This means, a believer is not permitted to be sick with God’s word Isa. 33:24.

How the Word Empowers for Dominion Over Sickness and Disease.

  1. God’s Word is the Balm in Gilead.

Jesus Christ is our great physician, and His word is his prescription, referred to as the balm in Gilead Jer. 8:20-22; Pro. 4:20-22. It has the guarantee of healing all sicknesses, and the ability to keep in health Psa. 107:20; Mat. 9:12-13.

  1. God’s Word Imparts Light.

The word of God is light and illuminates Psa. 119:105; Jn. 1:1-4. When the light of the word gets into believer, his health springs up speedily to establish his dominion over sickness Isa. 58:8; Jn. 1:5.

  1. God’s Word Transmits Divine Nature.

The word of God carries God’s nature and imparts same to believers 2Pet. 1:4; Ezk. 2:2. Divine nature is immune to sickness and disease, when imparted to a believer, his dominion over in health is established Isa. 40:28-29.

What is in the Word That Heals?

First, let’s establish that in the word is the power of God, which gives the word the ability to heal and establish believers in dominion over sickness and disease Heb. 1:3; Rms. 1:16. The power is in dimensions, which makes for the healing, health, and wholeness of believers no matter the health situation. What are these dimensions of the power in the word?

  1. Medicinal Power.

The word of God is medicinal Pro. 4:20-22. This implies that the word can cure sicknesses, diseases, and every challenge in human body Job 33:21-25.

  1. Surgical Power.

The word of God is surgical Heb. 4:12. This means that God’s word can cut through, locate what is damaged beyond repair, and replace, thereby restore health and make whole Gen. 1:17-18; Mat. 9:27-29.

  1. Creative Power.

The word of God is creative Gen. 1:1-31; Jn. 1:1-3. God’s word has the power to bring into existence new things; like body organs, tissues, cells, this brings healing to the body as well keeps it in health Acts 3:6-9.

  1. Prophetic Power.

The word of God is prophetic Ezk. 37:1-14; 2Pet. 1:20-21. God’s word has the power to make what it says come to pass without assistance from anywhere, even in contrary situation Acts 19:20. When the word says you are strong in the midst of sickness, what the word says will change the situation, thereby restore health and wholeness.

  1. Quickening Power.

God’s word quickens our mortal body Heb. 4:12. To quicken means to impart or give life, which means the word has the power to give life to a dying body, and keeps it in health and wholeness Jn. 6:63; 11:40-44; Lk. 7:2-10.

Conclusion.

God gave us His word, among other things, to enable us walk in dominion over sickness and disease all the days of our lives as His children. To experience this in reality, we simply need to take up our responsibility to study, meditate, pray and practice the word.
