Memory verse:

“If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.”                             Ecc. 11:3.

From scriptures, we are assured that we serve the covenant keeping God Psa. 89:34; Jer. 33:20-21. This implies that when the believer fulfills his responsibility for any provision of the kingdom, God becomes committed to deliver it to that believer 2Cor. 10:6. This understanding is what we refer to as covenant mentality, and it is the bedrock for undying and tireless commitment to kingdom stewardship 1Cor. 15:58.

Scriptural understanding to build a covenant mentality.

  1. Prizes are only won at the end of the race.

The field of sports is one that the kingdom life is often likened to in scriptures Heb. 12:1-2. Just as it is in sports that the prize can only be won at the end of the race, only those who engage successfully to the end that stand to qualify for the prize in the kingdom Hab. 2:1-3; Mat. 24:13.

  1. Discipline is a covenant requirement to win the prize.

The devil has enough things to distract, dissuade, and discourage the believer from steadfastness to kingdom stewardship Deu. 5:32. This makes discipline a covenant requirement for every believer who will emerge a prize winner 1Cor. 8:24-25.

  1. There is the demand of pressing to obtain the prize.

Everything in the kingdom, including stewardship, demands a press before it will deliver Mat. 11:12; Lk. 16:16. Therefore, only those who care to press ever become qualify for the prize Php. 3:13-14.

Jesus is Lord!
