God’s presence is what makes all the difference in person’s life. It empowers individuals to make the most of their time on earth and hereafter Psa. 127:1-2; Jn. 15:5; 1Cor. 3:6. From scripture, we understand that holiness guarantees to God’s presence and divine intervention Amos 3:3; Heb. 12:14; Rev. 4:8.

How Beautiful or Glorious is Holiness?

This message aims to stir our consciousness to pursue after holiness.

  1. Express Answer to Prayers.

Sin blocks believers from being heard in prayer Pro. 28:13; Isa. 59:1-2. When sin is removed, prayer yields answer Mat. 6:6-12.

  1. Supernatural Supplies.

Sin prevents believers from enjoying the flow of their needs, leading to stress and struggle. When sin is gone, supplies flow freely, resulting in a refreshing life Psa. 37:18-19; Mat. 6:33; Php. 4:19.

Every believer desiring a life free of struggle must adopt holiness as a lifestyle.

Exploring Controlling Powers.

Behind sin and unrighteousness lies Satan, who works through his foul spirits Rms. 7:15-16,19-20. These controlling powers manipulate people into slavery to sin. Understanding these powers is key to freedom.

  1. Lust of the Eyes.

These spirits drive the sin of covetousness, making one a slave to what they see. Jos. 7:1.19-21; 1Jn. 2:15-16. The remedy is contentment 1Tim. 6:6-8.

  1. Lust of the Flesh.

These spirits lead to sexual perversion, enslaving individuals to satisfy ungodly urges 1Jn. 2:16; 1Cor. 10:8; Hos. 5:4. The remedy is to flee from everything that gives these spirits room to operate 1Cor. 6:18; 1Ths. 4:3.

  1. End-time satanic siege.

These spirits aim to make believers love for God grow cold, leading them into various se evils Mat. 24:12; 2Tim. 3:1-5. The remedy is to disconnect from those who are trapped Psa. 1:1-3; 1Cor. 15:33.

Conquering Controlling Powers.

Provisions exist to conquer these controlling powers and establish a walk in holiness Rms. 8:1-2.

  1. Spirit of Prayer and Supplication.

The empowerment of the Holy Spirit enables engagement in prayer and fasting for freedom from sin Zch. 12:10; Rms. 8:26-27. This helps resist temptations Mat. 26:41.

  1. The Spirit of faith.

This empowerment allows believers to believe God and act in faith, regardless of the cost 2Cor. 4:13; Dan. 6:20-23. It quells the fiery arrows of defilement Eph. 6:16.

  1. The Spirit of wisdom.

This empowerment helps believers know the right actions and execute them prompt Deu. 34:9; Isa. 11:1-2. It preserves from every form of sin Isa. 33:6; Mk. 7:21-23.

The Way Out.

How can one find freedom from the captivity of sin?

  1. Holiness is not a State of Perfection.

It is about being hungry and thirsty after righteousness Mat. 5:6; Php. 3:13-14.

  1. Repentance is Essential.

Repentance involves acknowledging one’s sinful state, feeling godly sorrow, making open confessions, and committing to avoid sin 2Cor. 7:1,10. It is the pathway to securing God’s forgiveness and freedom from sin Acts 3:19; 1Jn. 1:8-10.

Conclusion.

Holiness is a attainable, but it requires our accepting responsibility.

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father, in the name of Jesus, fill me afresh with your Spirit, and cause sin to lose its dominion over my life from today 6:14.
  2. Father, baptize me with the Spirit of prayer and supplication, thereby empower me to overcome every temptation of sin from today 12:10; Mat. 26:41.
  3. Father, empower my faith and love for God by the Holy Spirit, thereby cause me to walk in unquestionable holiness from today 6:16.
