We live in a world where we are confronted every time with oppositions, obstacles, and enemies, with the mission to rob, deny, or rob us of access to our great place in destiny 1Cor. 16:9; Jn. 10:10. This is why we need breakthrough, which means to keep advancing in spite of the obstacles, oppositions, and enemies Exo. 14:14-15. The love of God is the kingdom force that guarantees breakthrough 1Cor. 13:8,13; Rms. 8:28,35-39; SOS 8:6.
What is Love (Love for God)?
- Love for God involves loving what God loves.
When the things that are important to God are intentionally and consciously chosen as important in one’s life, this is love for God Jn. 21:15-17; 3:16.
- Love for God Involves Identifying with Jesus Openly, Publicly and Unashamedly.
This means being able to stand for what Jesus stands for under any situation Mk. 8:38; Lk. 9:26. Love is only genuine when it is unconditional, which makes the person unashamed in expressing it even in public.
What is in Love that Engenders Breakthrough?
- Love Enhances Access to Supernatural Wealth.
Love empowers believers to lay down all; this means giving sacrificially becomes the individual’s delight 1Chr. 29:3-9; 1Cor. 13:3; 2Cor. 8:8. In return, the individual gain access to wealth in supernatural dimension 1Kgs. 3:3,13; Lk. 6:38.
- Love Empowers Access to Supernatural Breakthroughs.
When love for God is genuine, it empowers believers to obey everything that God says, this invokes God’s hand for breakthrough Jn. 14:12,23; Deu. 28:1. This means when love for God is truly established, breakthrough will be the order of the day Rms. 8:35-37.
- Love for God Engenders Destruction of Yokes.
The love of God enhances access to anointing, which results in the destruction of yokes 1Cor. 13:14; Psa. 89:20-24.
- Love makes Believers Indestructible.
The love of God makes a believer to become full of God and one with God Eph. 3:17-19; 1Jn. 4:16-18. The effect of this is that only what can destroy God will be able to destroy the individual, as we saw in Daniel and the three Hebrew boys Dan. 6:10-23; 3:17-28.
Proofs of True Love.
- Delightsome and Tireless Giving Lifestyle.
When love is genuine, giving sacrificially and tirelessly towards kingdom advancement becomes a delight 1Sam. 13:14; 1Chr. 29:3-7,12-14; 1Jn. 3:17-18.
- Serving God Lifestyle.
When love is genuine, serving God will become the lifestyle Psa. 105:42; Isa. 41:3; Dan. 1:8; 6:1-5,2—23.
Examples of Love-Made Breakthrough Giants in Scriptures.
- Moses.
Moses loved God so deep that he was willing to sacrifice the palace for life with the Israelite. He emerged a generational prophet Exo. 2:1-15; 3:7-10; 4:71-0; Deu. 34:10-12.
- Solomon.
Solomon was a die-hard lover of God 1Kgs. 3:3-5,6-13. From a product of illegal union, he emerged a celebrated king 1Kgs. 4:29-34; 10:1-13.
Conclusion.
The truth is that life is personal responsibility, which means that each one is fully responsible for the outcome of his or her life. Love for God is basic for a life of fulfilment.
Salvation Prayer.
To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, baptize me with the Spirit of love, thereby turn me to a breakthrough personality from today 5:5.
