Every believer has a destiny of glory, but this can only be actualized by accessing the great inheritances in Christ (2Pet. 1:3-4; Acts 20:32). The Holy Spirit is believers’ access to all the inheritances in the kingdom, and the Holy Spirit gives this access through His multifaceted engracement (1Cor. 12:4-7).

Manifestations of the Holy Spirit.

  1. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Faith.

Faith is believers’ access to every blessing of redemption, without which a believer might keep laboring and never experience God’s blessings (Dan. 3:14-18,24-27; Mk. 6:5; Rms. 4:16-18; 15:29). Faith enables believers to quench the fiery darts of the devil, thereby causing him to walk in supernatural victory in life (Eph. 6:16; 1Jn. 5:4). Faith also enables believers to turn impossibilities into possibilities, making a believer unstoppable and irresistible in life (Mk. 9:21-23). The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of faith empowers believers’ confidence and capacity to believe God for whatever He says, no matter how impossible it appears (2Cor. 4:13; Acts 24:12; 14:19-20).

Why the Need for the Spirit of Faith?

  1. For Strength to Withstand the Attacks Against Faith This End-time.

Faith shall continue to be under increasing attack in this end time; the mission is to weaken believers’ faith (Lk. 18:8; 1Tim. 4:1-2). The Spirit of faith strengthens believers’ faith, making it able to stand against attacks of the devil this end time (Lk. 22:31-32; Rms. 4:19-20).

  1. For Capacity to Contend for the Faith that was Once Delivered to Us.

Common faith will secure common salvation, but emerging as more than conqueror demands contention for the faith that was once delivered to the saints (Jn. 3:16; Eph. 2:8; Jude 1:3). The Spirit of faith empowers believers with the capacity to contend for faith (Jdg. 3:10; 6:34; 14:6,9).

  1. For Growth of Faith to Strong Faith.

Strong faith is required to maintain quality walk with God, which is essential for experiencing the best of kingdom life (Gen. 17:1; Rms. 4:16-21; 2Cor. 5:7). Strong faith is needed to stand against the wild storms of life (Mat. 8:26-28; 2Cor. 1:21; Eph. 6:10-11,16). The Spirit of faith facilitates the growth of faith, making believers come up to the realm of strong faith

Manifestation of the Spirit of Faith.

  1. Empowers Us to Believe All Things.

The Spirit of faith makes one believe whatever God says as possible no matter the situation (Acts 24:14; Php. 4:13).

  1. Allays All Fears Amid Storms.

The Spirit of faith does not allow a believer accommodate fear at the face of worst threat (Mat. 8:23-26; Heb. 4:3-10).

  1. Speaks the Unspeakable by Speaking Through Us.

The Spirit of faith makes a believer speak things that are beyond human comprehension and natural understanding yet delivers outstanding results (1Sam. 17:45-50; Dan. 3:17-28; Mat. 10:19-20).

  1. Dares the Unchallengeable.

The Spirit of faith moves believers to take daring steps that lack human logic and scientific explanation but produce results (Dan. 6:10-23; Heb. 11:7).

  1. Secures Victory Before the Battle.

The Spirit of faith delivers victory before the fight, causing believers to enjoy a walk-over in all battles (Num. 13:26-29,30; 14:6-10,20,38).

How to Receive the Spirit of Faith.

  1. Be Born Again.

Genuine salvation is fundamental to receiving the Holy Spirit and His diverse gifts (Acts 2:38-41).

  1. Baptism with the Holy Spirit.

This is the experience of becoming filled with the person of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in an unknown language (Acts 2:2-4).

  1. Impartation through Words of a Carrier of the Spirit of Faith.

Impartation is the transfer of a gift of the Holy Spirit from one who carries it to another who desires (Rms. 1:11; 2Kgs. 2:15). This is a principal way the Spirit of faith is received: through words, either printed or spoken, from one who is a carrier (Ezk. 2:2; Jn. 6:63; Acts 10:44). This requires that we:

  • Identify the carrier (Mat. 25:9; Acts 3:6).
  • Receive the person and ministry of the carrier (2Chr. 20:20; Mat. 10:41).
  • Honor the carrier in your heart (Isa. 29:18; Mk. 6:4-5; Pro. 27:19).
  • Crave what he carries (2Kgs. 2:9-15; Jude 3).

Conclusion.

The Holy Spirit is not just for speaking in tongues; He is to facilitate believers’ access to the various dimensions of His graces that will result in believer’s emergence in his glorious destiny (1Cor. 15:10). This experience is a personal responsibility and cannot be done on the behalf of anyone (Deu. 30:19). Over to you!

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer aloud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. You died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, my sins are forgiven; I am justified by your blood; I am born-again; I am saved; I am a child of God; I am free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father, baptize me with the Spirit of faith, thereby making me operate with strong faith from today (2Cor. 4:13).
