What is Restoration?

Restoration is the act of giving back something to its rightful owner, ideally in a state better than before. We serve the God of restoration, meaning that no child of God should be denied, robbed, or fail to enjoy their rightful blessings in life Jn. 10:10; Joel 2:25. Scriptures reveal that the mission of the Holy Spirit is to restore double for the shame of God’s children Isa. 60:1-3,7; Joel 2:23-26. To experience restoration, we must recognize that our God is a covenant-keeping God; thus, understanding and engaging the covenant demands is our guaranteed pathway to restoration Psa. 89:34; Jer. 33:20-21.

Covenant Demands for Restoration.

  1. Be Genuinely Born-again.

Coming into Christ is the first and essential step toward restoration Jn. 10:10; Mat. 11:28. Genuine salvation is evidenced by fruit that reflect a new life in Christ Mat. 7:18.

  1. Receive and Believe the Word Concerning our Restoration.

God only act according to His word Jn. 1:1-3; 1Jn. 5:14-15. To experience restoration, we must receive and believe what God’s word says about it Jn. 1:12; Lk. 1:45. Key scriptures on restoration are: Isa. 60:15; Jn. 10:10,

  1. Commit to Serving God and the Interest of His Kingdom.

Serving God involves engaging in activities that promote the growth of God’s kingdom and the church. The kingdom growth is measured by souls committed to Christ Pro. 14:28. A commitment to service triggers the covenant of restoration in one’s life 2Chr. 15:3-6,12-15; Job 36:11.

  1. Engage the Blood of the Covenant.

The blood of the covenant is a powerful force that destroys satanic oppressions Rev. 12:11. When invoked, it removes every power of darkness holding back a believer’s rights, thus enforcing restoration Zch. 9:11-12.

  1. Commit to Praying for the Well-being of Others.

What we do for others, God will make do for us Eph. 6:8. By praying for other’s restoration, we hasten our own, as seen in the story of Job Job 42:10.

Conclusion.

Expect the restoration of lost years from this moment. Anticipate the recovery of everything you have been robbed by the enemy – your health, honor, glory, blessing etc. Look forward to a new day in your life and walk with God. Your New Era is here!

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father, empower me by your Spirit to walk in the covenant of restoration, by perfectly obeying the covenant demands perfectly from today 17:1.
  2. Father, by the blood of Jesus, destroy every power holding back what belongs to me in life 9:11-12.
  3. Father, restore every redemptive right I have in Christ into my life, I will walk in the reality of them from now on 5:12.
