At new birth, Christ came to live inside believers Rev. 3:20; Col. 1:27. This is the secret behind the unstoppable nature and resilience of every true believer.  This implies that a fall does not connote defeat, failure, or the end, it is a rehearsal for ascending to greater height Mic. 7:8; Psa. 34:19-20. Scripture shows us that a believer is permitted to experience a fall, but not permitted to remain in the fallen state Pro. 24:16.

Scriptural Examples of Giants Who Experienced a Fall.

  1. Moses.

Moses had a woeful experience of failure at first that he was labelled a wanted person Exo. 2:11-15. Eventually, by God’s help he emerged a generational success and testimony Exo. 3:7-10; 7:7; Deu. 23:10-12.

Abraham sought a child through his maid when the promise of God appeared to be delayed Gen. 15:1-6; 16:3-4. Later, he refused to stagger at the promise of God and became the father of many nations at the end Gen. 26:17-21,23-33.

Isaac experienced grievous resistance that could have stopped his life Gen. 26:1-4,17-21. He refused to give up, and he emerged in greatness that made him a threat to great nations of his days Gen. 26:22-33,12-14.

Joseph went through series of challenges; from attempt of murder on his life, to slavery, to the prison Gen. 37:12-34; 39:1-20. He did not give up, he ended up in the palace and became the breadwinner of those who announced his death Gen. 41:14-16,38-45.

Job was grievously challenged to the extent that he lost all he had Job 1:13-25; 2:7-8. He maintained his walk in righteousness, and ended up triumphant with double restoration Job 23:10-12; 42:10.

How to Rise from Fallen State.

  1. Engage the Light of God’s Word.

The scent of water is the hope for a tree that has been cut down for it to spring up again Job 14:7-9; 9:4. The scent of water refers to the light from the word 2Cor. 3:8; Isa. 60:1-2.

  1. Put Faith to Work.

Faith at work will always be tried and tested, which is what we refer to as the trials of faith Gen. 22:1; Jms. 1:2-3. The trial of our faith is part of our adventure in the kingdom, and brings out the best in us Jn. 16:33; Pro. 27:3,21; Job 23:10-12. The trial of our faith a spiritual test that secures access to next level 2Cor. 4:17-18.

  1. Rise Up to the Challenge.

Students don’t weep because of exams, rather these prepare them for the next class Rev. 5:5-6. This implies that if we must move from our present level to the next, we must be prepared to pass the required test Deu. 2:3; 2Cor. 3:18. Paul gloriously passed the tests and secured a crown of righteousness at the end Rms. 8:35-39; 2Tim. 4:6-8.

Conclusion.

There is no case that is closed with God, which gives no individual the power to close any person’s case. The only person that can succeed at closing any case is the individual himself. Therefore, rise and open that case they have called closed!

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father, every case that has been closed in my life is opened by your power right now Acts 12:10.

  • Redemption brought believers out of the miry clay into the life of wonders (Isa. 8:18). God’s Word is the depot of these wonders; how much his eyes are opened to see determines the amount of wonders he will experience (Gen. 13:14-15; Psa. 119:18). A believer is not designed to struggle to experience a life of […]

  • God’s word is loaded with wonders; how much of it is revealed to a believer determines how much he experiences (Psa. 119:18; Gen. 13:14-15). This means that the life of wonder ordained by redemption will only become a reality to the extent believers catch revelation of the wonders in the word (Isa. 8:18). What are […]

  • The Bible is not a history book, not a religious text; it is a book of mysteries loaded with wonders (Mk. 4:11; Psa. 119:18). When believers catch the revelation of these wonders in the word, it invokes dramatic transformations as their lives turn to wonders (Gen. 13:14-15; 2Cor. 3:18). The question is, what are these […]
