It is commitment to follow divine leading that brings a man into the high ways of life Deu. 32:9-14; 28:1,13. Therefore, the understanding of how God leads is a vital asset for the believer that will make the most of his life on the earth Isa. 48:17; Pro. 14:12. We have established that the bible is God’s guidebook of life Psa. 119:105; 2Tim. 3:16-17.

What makes the Bible a Reliable Guide?

  1. The bible is the creator’s manual.

The bible guides the believer on the path that makes him to fulfil the purpose of God for his life Jos. 1:8.

  1. The bible is an open “cheque book”.

When the instruction in the bible is followed, it secures access to the believer’s inheritance in life Acts 20:32.

There are two realms in the bible; the realm of hearing, and the realm of seeing Isa. 2:1; Hab. 2:1. The believer is entitled to experience only what he can see; in essence, it is the realm of seeing that delivers profits Jer. 1:11-12. The extent to which we see in the bible will determine our experience in life Gen. 13:14-15.

Requirements for Being Guided by the Bible.

There are demands that must be fulfilled before the believer’s eyes can be opened to the realm of seeing God’s word.

  1. Be committed to a life of prayer and fasting.

Prayer and fasting are spiritual tools for the opening of the eyes to see into the realms of God’s word and the spirit Jer. 33:3; Isa. 58:6,11-14. The more the believer is committed to prayer and fazing, the more he sees into God’s word Mat. 6:17-18.

  1. Stay in love and keep growing your love for God.

Love for God is another spiritual opener of the eyes into the realms of God’s word and the things of the spirit Jn. 15:15; 1Cor. 2:9-10. The good news is that love for God is a choice anyone can make, which will empower the believer to bond to God in love Deu. 30:19. The love of God is an elastic virtue; the more one grows in his love for God, the more one’s eyes will be open to see into the bible, which connote more guidance from God’s word Jn. 14:21; Eph. 3:17-19.

How Does the Bible Guide the Believer?

  1. The bible shows the believer the path of life.

From scriptures, we understand that God and His word are same Jn. 1:1-3. This means one guaranteed way we can draw close to God is by being close to our bible, the word of God. When we draw close to God, He shows us the path of life Psa. 16:11. In essence, the bible reveals the path of life thereby guiding the believer.

  1. The bible reveals to the believer the failure-proof way.

The bible shows the believer the most reliable, dependable, and guaranteed-t-deliver result way to follow Isa. 55:10-11; 1Pet. 1:23. In essence, the bible will show the bible what to do per time, it has the guarantee to deliver desired good result.

In conclusion, every man is walking on a path, way, direction per time; it is either the right or wrong. The good news is that you can be always be confident of following the right path, simply by committing to walking the way of God’s word.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, endue me with grace for the life of prayer and fasting, thereby giving me access to continuous guidance from the bible from now 2:14.
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the baptism of the Spirit of love, thereby bringing me into union with God from today 4:16.
  3. Father in the name of Jesus, I make the commitment to walk only by the light of God’s word from today 1:4.

  • Redemption brought believers out of the miry clay into the life of wonders (Isa. 8:18). God’s Word is the depot of these wonders; how much his eyes are opened to see determines the amount of wonders he will experience (Gen. 13:14-15; Psa. 119:18). A believer is not designed to struggle to experience a life of […]

  • God’s word is loaded with wonders; how much of it is revealed to a believer determines how much he experiences (Psa. 119:18; Gen. 13:14-15). • The Bible is not a history book, not a religious text; it is a book of mysteries loaded with wonders (Mk. 4:11; Psa. 119:18).
