Every man is a product of the path or leading that he follows in life Pro. 14:12; 16:25; Ecc. 10:15. God’s path or leading is the guarantee for a life of success, greatness and fulfilment Isa. 48:17,21. Therefore, understanding the way God leads is a must for everyone that desires success and fulfilment in life. From the scriptures, we understand that the fundamental way that God leads is through His guidebook of life, known as the bible Deu. 28:1-2; Psa. 119:105; 2Tim. 3:16-17.

What makes the Bible a Reliable Guide?

1. It is the manual of life.

The user manual is the manufacturer’s detail on his product, and everyone that follows the guideline in it is sure to make the best and profitable use of that product. In the same manner, the bible is God’s manual for everything He created including the life of man, following it guarantees success and fulfilment Mat. 7:24-25; Jms. 1:22-25. In essence, the bible is not a mystical book to be conjured, it is not a history book that tells stories, but a manual to be followed Jos. 1:8.

2. It is guaranteed access to all things that pertains to life and godliness.

In essence, following the dictates of the bible gives the believer access to all the things that his life needs to succeed and live godly Acts. 20:32; 1Pet. 1:3.

3. It is a book of instruction that guarantee supernatural breakthrough.

The bible does not advice or suggest, it instructs on life. Following the instruction of the bible leads to supernatural breakthroughs Deu. 5:32-33; Lk. 5:4-7; Jn. 1:1-5.

Requirements for being Guided by the Bible.

There are many that labor in the bible but seems not to make any meaning out of it, because they have not understood the requirements it takes to be guided from it.

1. Be spiritually minded.

God’s word is Spirit; hence it will take a spiritual man to gain access to the guidance it offers 1Cor. 2:14; Rms. 8:6. Being spiritually minded means one’s thought is controlled by the things of God, which results in the words and actions also being spirit-controlled. Carnality is at the root of the bible not making meaning to many.

2. Genuine desire to be led.

The desire of the believer sets the pace for what God will do Pro. 23:18. In essence, without a genuine desire to follow the guide contained in the bible, a believer may never receive guidance from scriptures no matter how much he studies it Pro. 18:1; Ecc. 10:10. Therefore, genuine desire is vital to be led through the bible Isa. 48:17-18; Jer. 33:3.

How Does the Bible Guide the Believer?

1. It gives warning on life issues.

The bible gives warning to the believer on every issue of life Psa. 19:9-11; Ezk. 3:17; Acts 20:30-31. Warning means to caution, or give advance notice on something.

2. It is the platform for proving all visions, dreams, and passion.

Every man is a product of his sight or vision; when the devil succeeds at tempering with a man’s sight, vision, dreams, he has succeeded in tempering with his destiny Gen. 13:14-15; Jer. 1:11-12. Hence, one way the bible guides is to help the believer ascertain his vision, dreams, and passion Lam. 3:37; Jn. 10:25. In essence, when one sees anything from God’s word, it is the bible giving reliable guidance.

In conclusion, by following the dictates of the bible, the believer is guaranteed to emerge in outstanding success, greatness, and make landmark impact in life.

3. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to remain committed to follow the instruction of the bible, thereby positioning me to receive guidance from God’s word continually 15:10.
