Memory verse:

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.”

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”                             – Isa. 43:18-19.

Salvation brings the believer into a new life described in scriptures as eternal or abundant life Jn. 3:16; 10:10. One characteristic of this life is continuous advancement to next levels until the believer becomes the envy of his world Pro. 4:18; Mat. 5:13-14. But this will not be an automatic experience for the believer, rather it is a responsibility and the believer needs to know what the responsibility is. From scriptures, thanksgiving is the vital kingdom responsibility to have the experience of continuous advancement into next levels Lk. 17:15-19.

Understanding the mystery of thanksgiving.

  1. Thanksgiving moves God to make things happen.

From scriptures, we understand that we do not only thank God for what has happened. We can thank God for what we are expecting, and by this we move God to make them happen 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36. This is a mystery of the kingdom that gives the believer a walk-over on the devil.

  1. Thanksgiving empowers for next levels of command of the supernatural.

Thanksgiving opens the gateway to the believer; the gate to the realm of God Psa. 100:4. The realm of God is the realm of the supernatural, where all things are possible Mk. 10:27. When a believer steps into this realm, he takes command of the supernatural. Therefore, thanksgiving is the gateway to our next levels of command of the supernatural Jn. 6:5-12.
