Memory verse:
“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: 2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” – Psa. 92:1-2,12.
We have defined breaking new grounds as setting new pace and setting new records 1Cor. 2:9. This is the life that God has ordained for every redeemed of the Lord Isa. 8:18; Jn. 3:8. We must understand what it takes and take responsibility accordingly to make it the reality in our lives. We have identified from scriptures that thanksgiving is a vital kingdom force that empowers for breaking new grounds Hab. 3:17-19. As long as we don’t stop at giving thanks and praise to God, we will not stop at breaking new grounds.
The Power of Thanksgiving that Guarantees Breaking New Grounds.
- Thanksgiving grants Access to Next Levels of Breakthroughs.
Breakthrough implies advancement in spite of obstacles and oppositions like we saw with the Israelite at the Red Sea and the wall of Jericho Exo. 14:14-15; Jos. 6:1-20. This can be referred to as breaking new grounds. From scriptures, thanksgiving is gateway to our next levels of breakthrough Isa. 54:1-3; Jer. 30:19-21.
- Ingratitude Exposes Individuals to Devastation.
Behind every experience of breaking new grounds is the hand of God at work; only God’s hand could make such acts happen Exo. 8:16-19. Disregarding the hand of God, denies an individual of breaking new grounds, making him to suffer devastation Psa. 28:5; Acts 12:21.
