 on high above all nations of the earth:”  

“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou

 shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”

• Deut. 28:1-2.

God’s word makes it clear that it is not only our words that matters to God, our actions do and can even be of greater significance 1Sam. 2:3. 1Jn. 3:7. This is where many in the church miss it in their walk with God, they say something but their action differ and their ultimate experience will be in line with their action. The believer’s action that will guarantee the life of glory is obedience to God and every of His instruction Deut. 28:1-2. From scriptures, we understand that every blessing of God is in response to our obedience Jms. 1:25. Any excuse for disobedience is the room we have given to the enemy to rob us of our rights in the kingdom 2Cor. 10:6.

Obedience to God and His commandment is a choice each believer has to make; when this choice is made, obedience becomes a lifestyle Deut. 30:19. We have been looking into the scriptures on the basic understanding that will empower the believer for the choice of obedience. I believe today’s study shall open your eyes afresh to the truth of God.

Scriptural Understanding on the Laws of God’s kingdom and our Obedience.

1. Obedience has to be total for it to produce result 1Sam. 15:13-20.

The scriptures make us to understand that obedience is either total or it is disobedience. This is why the scripture in Deuteronomy 28 verse 1 says, “to observe and to do all his commandments which I command this day”. When a believer does not observe the details of God’s instruction, it will amount to despising God and the blessing is lost.

Naaman was instructed to dip in Jordan for seven times to be cleansed on his leprosy and restored 2Kgs. 5:9-14. If he had dipped in Jordan six times, it would have been obedience that is not complete, he would have missed out on his healing and deliverance. Scriptures says as he dipped the seventh time, his skin was restored to that of a baby.

From scriptures we understand that God always manifest Himself to the obedient Jn. 14:21; 9:1-8. In essence, with obedience the believer does not need to pray for God manifestation because he will be having divine encounter as a normal experience. In closing, it is wisdom to make the choice for obedience.

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to walk in obedience to every instruction of God, thereby invoking the blessings of God on my life like never before Ezk. 36:27.
