Every person is a child of destiny Rms. 8:29-30; Jer. 1:5. Destiny simply means the discovery of God’s plan and purpose for an individual on the earth, and the choice to embrace it Jer. 29:11. God has His purpose for every He created, this is why each one of us is a child of destiny, we must not live like destitute. God’s word has answer to every question of life, including destiny Jms. 1:22-25.

- A Glorious Destiny.
Every child of God is ordained to be a star that shines in life Rms. 8:29-30; Pro. 4:18.
- An enviable Destiny.
The child of God is ordained to be envied in life, not pitied Gal. 4:28; Gen. 26:12-14.
- A Pace-setting Destiny.
Every child of God is ordained a pacesetter, trailblazer, and path finder in life Mat. 5:13-14.
- A Royal Destiny

Why Do People Fail to Enjoy the Destiny God Ordained for them?
- Ignorance of their Destiny as Ordained by God.
What you don’t know, you don’t know. What you don’t know, is bigger than you. What you don’t know, you will suffer for it, if you don’t learn it. This is the undoing of many in life, ignorance of their destiny, which they have refused to learn Hos. 4:6; Isa. 5:13.
- Carelessness in Life.
Many others have sold off their great destiny through carelessness like Esau Gen. 25:29-33; Heb. 12:16-17. These include indiscipline, pleasure over work etc.
- Lack of Patience.
Some others miss out of destiny because they are so much in a hurry, which makes them to lose their inheritance Pro. 20:21; 21:5; 28:22; Isa. 28:16.
- Comparison of Self with Others
Many miss out of their glorious destiny because they won’t stop to compare themselves with others Pro. 27:8; 2Cor. 10:12.
Covenant Demands to Fulfill Our Great Destiny.
- Focus on the Pursuit of Your Destiny.
Each of us have the race set before us as individuals on the earth, we must focus on that race alone Heb. 12:1-2.
- Commit to Phase-by-Phase Journey of Destiny.
Destiny is the kingdom is not a destination, but an adventure Pro. 4:18; 2Cor. 3:18. We must commit to the pursuit to the phase-by-phase pursuit of destiny; it is fulfilled in phases Exo. 23:20; Deu. 7:22.
- Commit to Following Divine Direction.
As long as we keep following God’s leading, we are sure to end up in our high places in life Deu. 32:9-14.
- Understand the Mystery of Small Beginning.
Every great destiny has a small beginning; we must not despise the small beginning else we miss out of the great ending Job 8:7. Jesus Christ, our perfect example, began as a babe in a manger, grew to adolescent, and was declared as God’s beloved Son with power Lk. 2:7,10-12,47-49; 9:35; Rms. 1:4.
- Commit to Spiritual Growth.
Spiritual growth is defining factor in the rate of fulfilment of destiny Lk. 2:52; Gal. 2:11-12,15-20. Our glorious destiny may never become a reality until we have built maturity to match Gal. 4:1-3. Therefore, we must commit to spiritual growth through continuous sturdy of God’s word Acts 26:24; 20:32; being spiritual minded Rms. 8:5-6.
Conclusion.
The ball is in your court; I want each of us to play the game of life with confidence because you have a great and glorious destiny already!

Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. The scripture is not a history text or religious book, which we memorize and quote. The scripture described herself as the “more sure word of prophecy” 2Pet. 1:19-21.
