Whatever God says is what He is committed to make happen 1Kgs. 8:15. This is because prophecies are ordained to be fulfilled Isa. 55:10-11; 34:16. We have said that there are three (3) main sources of prophecy:
- i) The scriptures 1:19-21; Isa. 34:16.
- ii) Directly from the Holy Spirit 16:12-14.
- iii) From prophets sent our way 18:21-22; Lk. 4:25-27.
What makes Prophecy Reliable?
- God speaks according to His unlimited resources.
God is unlimited in resources Psa. 24:1; 50:9-11. There is no demand that can intimidate or exhaust His resources Mk. 10:27; Hag. 2:8. Therefore, whatever God says is guaranteed to be delivered because He has what it takes, unlike man’s insufficiency.
- God speaks according to His integrity.
Integrity here means God will stand by what He says, He never shifts or denies His word until it comes to pass Num. 23:19; Heb. 6:15-18; Tit. 1:2. This means that when God says it, consider it done already.
The Requirement for Prophecy Fulfilment.
Prophetic word will never come to fulfilment until the believer takes responsibility for them 2Pet. 1:19-21. What are these responsibilities?
- i) Receive and believe the prophetic word.
Every prophetic word received and believed transforms our thinking pattern, which makes for its fulfilment Rms. 12:1-2; Pro. 23:7. It also establishes peace within leading to its fulfilment Psa. 85:8; Php. 4:7.
- ii) Engage in praise for the prophetic word.
When we celebrate God for a prophetic word, we move His hand to deliver it in reality Rms. 4:17-21.
Scriptural Example: Jehoshaphat, king of Judah.
Judah was besieged by three (3) kings 2Chr. 20:1-2. Jehoshaphat led the entire nation to cry to God, and in response, God gave a prophetic word of supernatural victory 2Chr. 20:13-17. They engaged in praise to God to facilitate the fulfilment of this prophetic word 2Chr. 20:21-25.
In conclusion, every prophetic word is ordained to be fulfilled, but this will only happen as we accept responsibility of blessing the Lord at all times like David 1Sam. 16:13; 2Sam. 5:4; Psa. 34:1. You shall testify before this year is over!
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
- Father, in the name of Jesus and by your Spirit, help me to truly receive and believe every prophetic word that has gone forth on my life for this year 9:24.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, I command every prophetic word over my life to come to pass in the remaining days of this year 12:25.

God’s presence is what makes all the difference in person’s life. It empowers individuals to make the most of their time on earth and hereafter Psa. 127:1-2; Jn. 15:5; 1Cor. 3:6. From scripture, we understand that holiness guarantees to God’s presence and divine intervention Amos 3:3; Heb. 12:14; Rev. 4:8. How Beautiful or Glorious is […]
Salvation is God’s call into the life of glory and beauty Rms. 8:28-30; 2Pet. 1:3. Scripture states categorically that at the root of glory and beauty is holiness Exo. 15:11; Psa. 96:9. Holiness is not a gift but a spiritual virtue, demanding our exercise 1Tim. 4:8. Therefore, we need a good understanding of how to […]
A core wonder of the altar of prayer and fasting is express answer to prayers Isa. 58:6,9. When the prayer and fasting altar is engaged in the scriptural way, it transforms the believer into a wonder being Exo. 34:28-35; Dan. 2:12-19,46; 6:10,21-22; Lk. 9:28-35. Therefore, prayer and fasting are not burdens but blessings to the […]
Prayer and fasting are commandments of God to every believer, as found in scriptures Isa. 58:6; Mat. 6:6-7,17-18. While these are commandments, they are not burdens but blessings of unfathomable dimension Jer, 23:33-40. Though Prayer and fasting come at a cost, this cost pales in comparison to the glory in return Psa. 63:1-3; 2Cor. 4:17. […]
