Every word from God, which is what we refer to as prophecy, has the guarantee of fulfilment Ezk. 12:25; Isa. 55:10-11. Prophecy has these three (3) main sources:

i) From scriptures 1:19-21.

ii) From the Holy Spirit 16:12-14.

iii) From prophets sent our way 18:21-22; Lk. 4:25-27.

Each person has the responsibility to make prophecy come to fulfilment in his life, and this is by taking heed or committing to the demands of the prophetic word 2Pet. 1:19-21.

What is the Guarantee for Prophecy Fulfilment?

  1. They carry in-built capacity for fulfilment.

Behind every word spoken from God is power, which is to enforce its fulfilment Heb. 1:3; Lk. 1:34-35. This is why whatever God says is sure to come to pass Isa. 55:10-11.

  1. God speaks according to what He can and will do.

By God’s nature, He is committed to what He says; God doesn’t rescind His word Isa. 14:24,27; Num. 23:19. This is why when God says a thing, it is guaranteed to come to pass Gen. 22:16-18.

  1. God speaks according to His capacity and not weakness.

We serve a God who is limitless in capacity Jer. 32:17; Mk. 10:27. Therefore, when God says it, it is sure to be fulfilled 2Kgs. 7:1-2,1-20.

The Demands for Prophecy Fulfilment.

  1. Receive and believe the prophetic word.

Until a prophetic word is received and believed, it never gets fulfilled Mk. 4:30-32; Lk. 8:11,15; 2Pet. 1:19-21. To receive a prophetic word means to direct what God says to self in personal manner. While to believe means to agree and expect to see what was said fulfilled.

What happens when prophecy is received and believed?

i) Every prophetic word received and believed invokes bold declaration 4:13.

ii) Every prophetic word received and believed makes one to be daring in response 7:1; 8:14.

These two effects stir God’s hand to work, leading to performance of what was spoken by God Num. 14:24; Rev. 22:12.

  1. Engage the power of praise.

When we praise God for what He says, we move Him to perform His word Rms. 4:20-21; Psa. 56:4,10.

Scriptural Example of Prophecy Fulfilment through Praise – Hezekiah.

A verdict of death was passed on Hezekiah’s life Isa. 38:1-2. He cried to God in prayers, God responded by averting the verdict, and gave a word of adding fifteen (15) more years to Hezekiah’s life Isa. 38:4-6. Nonetheless, Hezekiah has to engage in praise to see this prophetic word become fulfilled Isa. 38:19-20.

In conclusion, it is not over yet until it is over! No matter how late it appears to be, when a man responds to a prophetic word, it will deliver the promise of God. Therefore, this year cannot be over until all that God declared about you becomes the reality in your life!

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father, in the name of Jesus and by your Spirit, help me to truly receive and believe every prophetic word that has gone forth on my life for this year 9:24.
  2. Father, in the name of Jesus, I command every prophetic word over my life to come to pass in the remaining days of this year 12:25
