What is Blessing?

  1. Blessing is divine enablement that allows a person to succeed despite the challenges 4:23-24; 5:1-2.
  2. Blessing is a supernatural force that causes things to align with an individual without struggle 8:18.

What is (Found) in Blessing?

  1. Cure for Failure and Guarantee for Success.

When an individual is blessed, he commands success as it were effortlessly Gen. 12:1-3; 13:1-2.

  1. Cure for Curses.

Curses are destr5uctive forces that hinder progress and ruin great destinies Gen. 4:9-12. Blessing nullifies curses Isa. 65:8.

  1. Empowers for Right Decisions.

Blessings empower individuals to make wise decisions, crucial for success Deu. 30:19; Gen. 2:19-23; 3:6-7,21.

  1. Attractiveness and Favor.

Blessings invoke favor, making individuals attractive Psa. 5:12. After God blessed Abraham, he and his household experienced unusual favor, which made them attractive ever at old age Gen. 12:11-12,14-16.

  1. Threat to Enemies.

A blessed individual becomes a formidable opponent to adversaries Gen. 12:3. He achieves victories without conflict.

Who is Does God Bless?

  1. The Redeemed.

Salvation through Jesus Christ is essential to access God’s blessing Gal. 3:13-14; Acts 3:26; Psa. 5:12. When we neglect salvation, we have rejected blessing Heb. 2:3.

  1. Those who Obey God Delightfully.

Obedience is a key to receive God’s blessing Deu. 28:1-13,47-48; Psa. 112:1-10; Jms. 1:25. Every person that is not enjoying blessing should check for areas of disobedience, and repent.

  1. Those who Serve God.

Serving God brings blessing Exo. 23:25-26; Job 36:11; Rms. 6:16. Ture service goes beyond activity to actively advancing God’s kingdom Mat. 6:33; 19:17-19.

  1. Tithers and

Tithing and giving are vital for receiving God’s blessings Acts 20:35; Mal. 3:10. When we commit to promoting God’s kingdom with our resources, we have positioned for the outpouring of blessings on our lives Pro. 27:28; Hag. 1:5-9.

  1. Those who Give Thanks.

Thanksgiving brings into fearful dimension of God’s blessing Psa. 67:5-7; 2Chr. 20:22-25.

  1. Those who Value Parental Blessing.

The goodwill of parents invokes blessing on their children Eph. 6:1-2; Gen. 27:3-4,30-32.

  1. Those who Believe in Priestly Blessings.

God has ordained priests to bless His people Num. 6:22-27; Isa. 44:26-27; Mat. 10:41. Abraham was a product of this dimension of blessing Gen. 14:19-20.

Conclusion.

You are destined for a life of blessing, but each one must take responsibility for it Acts 3:26.

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for the light of your word you have shed on my life through this teaching 119:130.
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit for the demands of access to the blessing 4:6.
