God’s will for every believer is financial fortune, thus making it the heritage for every true child of God (3Jn. 2: Rev. 5:12). Every believer who will experience this heritage in reality has the responsibility to engage kingdom demand, which is the practice of the covenant (Deu. 8:18; Jer. 33:20-21).

What is a Covenant?

1. A covenant is a spiritual platform where we commit God by our obedience of faith to make good His promise.

This means that as an individual obeys the demands specified by the covenant, God is committed to deliver what He promised (Jer. 30:25-26). This makes financial fortune not to answer to prayer, fasting, but obedience or practice of the covenant (Gen. 17:1-2).

What Happens When the Covenant is Obeyed that Results in Fortune?

When the covenant is obeyed, God’s blessing is released on a believer; the blessing is the power to get wealth (Deu. 28:1-2; Pro. 10:22). This means that the covenant delivers on its own; it does not require “prayer bombardment” and fasting to produce results (Mk. 4:26-29). This further implies that as long as we keep to our part of the covenant, God’s part is reliable; He cannot deny Himself (Psa. 89:34; Jer. 33:20-21; Rms. 3:4). We must understand the time factor in the operation of the covenant (Gen. 8:22; Mk. 4:26-29). Two vital things to note about time factor:

1. Our Times are in God’s Hand – this implies that God defines our timing. We only need an understanding of the time we find ourselves and align with God’s purpose each moment, then all things become beautiful (Psa. 31:15; Ecc. 3:11).
2. There is the Due Time – this is when our blessing is released; when we are due, we shall not be denied. The due time is a function of when our cloud is full; then our rain of blessings is sure to fall (Ecc. 11:5; Gal. 6:7-9). Covenant practice is what fills the cloud; one’s level of commitment to giving hastens our due time.

How Does God Bless?

1. God Blesses Through Innovation and Creativity.

Innovation and creativity are subset of wisdom (Pro. 8:12; 3:19; Psa. 104:24). Scripture states clearly that wisdom and wealth go hand-in-hand; behind the financial challenge of many is foolishness (Pro. 3:13,16; 8:12,18). Wisdom means knowing the right thing to do and right way to go, doing it and going there; this is how God leads a covenant practitioner to fortune (Isa. 48:17,21). This is often through inspired insight, which connotes deep, clear, and powerful ideas about a problem that leads to a solution resulting in profit (Job 29:4-17; 1:1-3). The good news is that divine wisdom is every believer’s heritage, but has to be stirred up; covenant practice is one way to stir it particularly for the actualization of our prosperity (1Cor. 2:24; Mat. 11:19; 1Kgs. 3:4,12). We can find scriptural examples of this in Jacob who through innovation attained wealth (Gen. 30:37-43), and Solomon who by wisdom became the wealthiest in his days (1Kgs. 3:5-12,13).

Wonders of Sacrifice.

Every God-prompted sacrifice invokes SWORN BLESSING; this makes sacrifice a guarantee for financial fortune (Psa. 50:5). The power of sacrifice lies in the divine ‘swearing’ it invokes on the blessing, because an oath terminates all struggles (Heb. 6:12-16). This makes the altar of sacrifice the altar of supernatural turnaround (Psa. 126:1-6). Also, sacrifice averts curses, plagues, generational curses, secures divine protection, and a good old age among others. Abraham is a typical example of financial fortune through the altar of sacrifice (Gen. 22:1-5,16-18; 24:1). Every child of God is entitled to Abrahamic blessings, but it requires that we do the works of Abraham, which include being a spiritual man, God’s lover, tithing, liberality, financial integrity lifestyle of joy and rejoicing (Isa. 51:1-3; Jn. 8:39).

Conclusion.

Each of us has what it takes to enjoy the best of life; we only need to accept responsibility and refuse anything that robs or discourages us from a great life (2Pet. 1:3-4). Over to you!

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified.
