Let’s first establish the truth that financial fortune is the heritage of every believer in Christ (Rev. 5:12; 3Jn. 2; Deu. 8:7-9). God’s covenant is believer’s access to experiencing financial fortune (Deu. 8:18).
What is a Covenant?
- A Covenant (in our Context) is a Spiritual System Put in Place by God stating His Provision and the Demands Everyone who Desire the Experience must Fulfill, with an Oath that Makes it Unbreakable (Heb. 6:13-16; Deu. 28:1-2).
This implies that God’s prosperity plan is not a promise, but a covenant (Deu. 8:18). What we need is the understanding of the demands to experience it, when our part is played, God’s integrity is committed to deliver (Gen. 8:20-22; Jer. 33:20-21).
The Superiority of the Covenant.
- Understand that God’s Covenant is Superior to Prevailing Economic Circumstances.
No economic situation or circumstance is strong enough to stop anyone practicing the covenant from prospering in life (Jer. 33:20-21; Psa. 33:18-19; 37:18-19). Covenant practice empowers to prevail no matter the hard times (Mal. 3:10-18; 4:1-4).
- Covenant Fathers in Scriptures Validated the Power of the Covenant.
Our covenant fathers in scriptures went through challenging economic times, but triumphed and prospered; their examples show the power of the covenant and God can repeat same in our lives (1Cor. 10:11; Rms. 15:4; Ecc. 1:9-10). Let’s consider some of their examples:
- Abraham became very rich in the midst of famine (Gen. 12:10; 13:1-2).
- Isaac rose in the midst of hardship to become stronger than the strongest nation of his days (Gen. 26:1-4,12-14).
- Jacob was made great in the midst of unfriendly circumstance (Gen. 42:1-2,7,10; 43:1,11-12).
Covenant Requirements for Walking in Financial Fortune.
The covenant of financial fortune operates by the law of seed time and harvest, which simply means giving and receiving (Gen. 8:20-22). The prescribed ways of giving in the covenant including the following:
- Tithing and Kingdom Advancement Sacrifices.
Tithing is the tenth of every income and earnings, it belongs to God and to be returned whole (Gen. 14:18-19; Lev. 27:30,23; Mal. 3:6-11). Kingdom advancement sacrifices is the choice to engage one’s resources to take care of specific project targeted at kingdom advancement (Hag. 1:3-10). Examples of kingdom advancement sacrifices are transportation of new converts to and fro church, printing tracts, acquisition of equipment for gospel use, church building etc. Don’t use tithe as kingdom advancement sacrifice, it is a covenant disorder (1Cor. 14:40).
- Giving to Parents.
Our biological parents are opportunity in the covenant to enjoy well-being in life, referred to as prosperity (Eph. 6:1-3). This blessing is what we need to prevail in life, and enjoy financial fortune (Gen. 49:26; Pro. 10:22).
Conclusion.
Anyone going through a hard-time in life can be out and free, it is simply by taking covenant responsibility. Over to you to work out your salvation financially (Php. 2:12).
Salvation Prayer.
To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
- Father, I make the choice for financial fortune, and I receive the grace for covenant responsibility to make it my reality in life (1Cor. 15:10).

There is whom God created each person to be and what to do; these are contained in His plan and purpose for the individual (Jer. 29:11). These have to be discovered, called vision; the discovery is personal and is either by encounter with God or through God’s word (Hab. 2:1-3; Psa. 119:105). The reason for […]
Vision is a discovery of divine plan as it relates to an individual or a people (Hab. 2:1-3; Jer. 29:11). It is a picture of the future we access through either divine encounter or as captured from scriptures (Exo. 3:3-10; Isa. 2:1-2). It is not a goal one sets or a thing to formulated, but […]
Man is a product of God; this simply means every man is made by God (Psa. 100:3; Gen. 1:26-27). Just like every manufacturer has a purpose for each of his products, God has a clearly defined plan and purpose for each person He created (Jer. 1:5; Gal. 1:15-16; Eph. 1:3-5,11-12). Vision is one way God […]
Every man is created by God with a definite plan and purpose for his life, an understanding of this plan and purpose is vital for its actualization (Jer. 1:5; Eph. 1:3-5,11-12). The two principal ways God’s plan is unveiled are: through the Word referred to as revelation (Psa. 119:105), and through an encounter with God […]
