One of the effects or impacts of wisdom is capacity to scale barriers, which makes barriers seem as if they do not exist Pro. 21:22. This means that with wisdom barriers are dissolved, of no effect, or crushed. Wisdom has been defined as knowing the right thing to do from God’s word, and doing it Mat. 7:24-25. Therefore, there is what God’s word instructs to do that will render barriers of no effect in believers’ lives.

What is a Barrier?

A barrier is anything that stands as an obstacle or limitation in people’s lives towards attaining or progressing towards a desired end. These could be either physical, mental, or spiritual in nature.

Physical Barriers – Often, these are not difficult to handle because once it is physical, it has already expired; it is only a matter of time 2Cor. 4:17.

Spiritual Barriers – These also are cheap and easy to handle because redemption has placed believers far above, which makes spiritual barriers to be under our feet Eph. 2:6; 1:19-20; Rms. 16:20.

Mental Barriers – Often, these are the barriers that constitute the problem in many lives. It is why most barriers are invisible.

Illustration.

A scientist did an experiment; he placed a piranha fish, known for its veracious carnivorous nature, in a glass water tank. He slid a transparent glass partition in the middle of the tank to divide it into two. He dropped a number of fishes into the other half of the tank. The piranha fish immediately rushed at the other fishes to devour them, only to hit its head on the middle glass partition. It made attempts severally towards the fishes, and with each attempt, it sustained pain and injury. After which it stopped making attempts. Then, the scientist removed the middle glass partition. The piranha was observed not to attempt attacking the fishes as they swam past it. This is because it has registered the information inside – that attempting to attack means hitting a barrier, pain, and injury – this is mental barrier. This is the kind of barrier many suffer in life.

How to Break invisible Barriers.

1. Be Genuinely Born Again.

When Christ is in an individual, the greater one that everything and power bow to is in the person 1Jn. 4:4; Php. 2:11. This means that whatever the barrier will give way to the individual Psa. 24:7-10.

2. Renew your Mind with God’s Word.

The picture that an individual has formed in his mind will dictate his experience in life Pro. 23:7; 4:23; 2Cor. 10:4. We need to change the mental picture through renewal of our mind by intentionally feeding on God’s word to break the invisible barriers Rms. 12:2. For instance, when a believer gains the understanding that he can do all things because Christ is his strength, this will change his mental picture and take off limitations Php. 2:13.

3. Engage the Covenant of Serving God.

Serving God and the interest of His kingdom brings believers under God’s blessing Exo. 23:25-26. God’s blessing is the power clears off all barriers, thereby making everything work for a believer Pro. 10:22; Psa. 114:1-8; Gen. 1:28.

Conclusion.

Barriers are real, but the good news is that they can be broken by paying the price. Don’t allow the barrier hold you down any longer; take responsibility to break them.

1. Father, I accept responsibility for breaking all barriers against my life; empower me by your Spirit in standing fast in the covenant responsibilities Acts 1:8.
2. Father, by my choice to walk in the covenant, every barrier against my life is broken right now Deu. 30:19.
