What is favor?

Favor is act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. Favor is help that makes a man’s effort insignificant. Personal definition of favor is, ‘divine partiality’ that makes a man an envy in life.

The Power of Favor.

1. It terminates emptiness Exo. 3:21; 12:36.

Emptiness refers to wasted labor and effort, no result, failure, lack, and the likes. Favor will bring an end to such the beneficiary’s life.

1. It eliminates toiling Psa. 44:1-3.

With favor, a man does not have to struggle, sweat like others to get things done; he also will not need to exert like before to deliver same level of result.

1. It make outstanding Gen. 6:5-8,12-14; Lk. 1:26-28.

Favor brings an individual out of the general class into a class of its own. With favor, a man stands out in the crowd no matter how hidden is placement and positioning seems to be.

1. It makes an individual undefeatable Est. 2:15-17; 6:6-13.

When favor is on an individual, he cannot suffer defeat in life again.

• It guarantees supernatural change of story Gen. 39: 1-4,21-23; 41:37-41; Psa. 30:5-7.

Favor places men at levels beyond their credentials, ability, and human judgment; this without lobbying or competing.

The good news is that every child of God is a child of favor Rms. 8:28-30; 9:10-16; Eph. 1:3-6. But there is what to do to actualize ever heritage of redemption into reality, including favor.

Requirements to Actualize the Heritage of Favor.

1. Be committed to the life of righteousness.

Righteousness means doing it God’s way, it qualifies the believer for favor Psa. 5:12; Dan. 1:8,18-21.

• Be committed to serving God.

Serving God means labor towards the advancement, enlargement and expansion of His kingdom. It is a guarantee for favor Psa. 102:13-15; Mat. 6:33. We do this essentially by; kingdom advancement prayer, soul winning, gathering of souls to church, laboring to see souls established in church.

• Be committed to hard work.

Laziness, love for pleasure and the likes disqualifies from favor Gen. 39:4-6,21-23; Pro. 22:29. When you don’t want to do menial, small or hard work, and you want good things, you have disqualified yourself from favor.

• Be given to competence.

Competence means the ability to do a thing efficiently; it is a product of learning and commitment to excellence. Competence attracts favor, which results in outstanding performance Est. 2:12-14,15-17; Psa. 78:72. This is the undoing of many believer today, they can do the work but not with competence.

• Be committed to the lifestyle of giving.

Giving open doors and triggers favor in life Pro. 16:18; 17:8; 19:6. Givers are men of strange favor, particularly financial favor 1Kgs. 3:3-5. Giving is not a function of how much you have, but the heart.

• Be committed to the life of praise.

Praise makes the believer God’s delight, which in turn invokes God’s favor Mk. 6:21-23; Psa. 34:1-3.

In conclusion, life is a product of one’s choice(s) Deut. 30:19. You can make the choice that will change the course of your destiny for good eternally right now. I counsel you to make the choice for God’s favor by a commitment to all the requirements for favor.

1. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to remain committed for life to the demands for favor, thereby causing me to walk in favor from today  Psa. 5:12.
2. Father in the name of Jesus, every plague of misfortune is terminated in my life right now by the force of favor Psa. 44:1-3.
