What is Business?

In simple language, business is any legitimate and productive activity an individual is involved in.

From scriptures we understand that whatever is the legitimate activity a believer engages in, it is ordained to prosper Psa. 1:3; 90:17. In essence, every believer is ordained for prosperity irrespective of what he does as work, job or business.

Challenges are not Reasons for Business Breakdown.

Every one faces challenges in life, and there is no type of business that is free of temptation intended by the devil to stop the believer 1Cor. 10:13. The good news is that the believer is ordained to overcome both the temptations and challenge against him and his business 1Jn. 5:4. This is what we call breakthrough, which results in the unhindered progress of the believer in business and life Pro. 4:18.

Covenant Provisions for Business Breakthrough.

  1. Be born again and abstain from sin 2Cor. 5:21; Psa. 5:12; Pro. 14:34.

Every blessing of the kingdom begins with a departure from the life of sin, and this is only possible by Jesus Christ coming into a man’s life. Sin is deceitful in nature, initially sin will appear it is lifting a man up, but in a moment it will crash the individual. In essence, sin makes men to sink and stink in life.

  • Build right business relationship Psa. 1:1,3; Pro. 13:20.

Earl Nightingale says “You will be who you are today in the next 10 year except for two things, the books you read and the friends you keep.” In essence, if you want to do well in the works of your hand, surround yourself with the right people who will challenge you to greater height in what you do. Many are failure today in their businesses, because of wrong association.

  • Possess a breakthrough mentality Pro. 23:7; Phm. 14.

The mind of the believer is fundamental to the happenings in his life. Whatever the hand will handle and make happen, the mind must capture it first. The mind must see the breakthrough first for the hand of the believer to deliver it in reality Gen. 13:14-15; Jer. 1:11-12.

  • Operate scriptural business principles Jos. 1:8; Psa. 1:2-3.

The principle that a business is run with will determine the success that will be experienced in the business. When the principles are based on God’s word, they are wisdom principles that guarantee continuous breakthrough in business Matt. 7:24-27; Pro. 24:3-4. Some of the biblical principles for business breakthrough are:

  • Be diligent Pro. 22:29.
    • Be faithful Pro. 28:20.
    • Engage in planning Lk. 14:28-30.
    • Be tireless in your pursuit on success Gal. 6:7-9.
    • Be a tither and generous giver Mal. 3:8-10; Lk. 6:38.
  • Commit to the advancement of God’s kingdom 2Chr. 26:3-5,14-15; Matt. 6:33; Lk. 5:1-8.

When a believer commits to the advancement of God’s kingdom, he has invoked God to be committed to the advancement of the work of his hand. And when God is the one that is working the advancement of one’s business, there is no force that will be able to withstand that business from making progress.

  • Engage the force of thanksgiving, joy and rejoicing as a lifestyle Joel 1:11-12; Psa. 67:5-7; Duet. 28:47-48.

Thanksgiving and praise are covenant forces that guarantee the breaking forth of whatever it is applied in the kingdom. The believer that will learn to thank and praise God for His business is sure to keep experience continuous breakthrough.

  • Connect with prophetic blessing Isa. 44:26-27; 2Kgs. 4:1-7; Num. 6:23-27.

The pronouncement of blessing from His servant is one thing that God is committed to perform.  Believers should learn to take advantage of this for their cheap breakthrough in the work of their hands.

In conclusion, you have no business with breakdown or stagnation in life and the work of your hand again. All that you need is to make the right decision based on the understanding you have received, and back it up with appropriate action Deut. 30:19. You are the next kingdom giant that God is raining in our time!

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to apply myself tirelessly to the covenant demands for breakthrough in the work of my hands from today Zch. 4:6-7.
