God’s kingdom, to which we belong by redemption, promises life in abundance; one characteristic of this life is all-round rest (Jn. 10:10; Heb. 4:1,9-10). This means that all-round rest is God’s will for every redeemed (Jn. 14:27). Scripture states categorically that God’s kingdom operates on keys; keys here connote revelation for accessing the provisions of redemption (Mat. 16:19; Lk. 11:52). One thing that has robbed some of experiencing rest is thst, often, the keys are too simple to be true (2Cor. 11:3).
Keys to Access All-Round Rest.
- Be Genuinely Born Again.
Christ is the answer to all the woes and crises in life (Col. 1:27; Mat. 11:28). This makes salvation the first and non-negotiable step into the realm of all-round rest (Heb. 2:3).
- Learn the Way to All-Round Rest.
Knowledge of what the Word of God says to silence storms and establish rest is vital to stepping into all-round rest (Isa. 59:8; Hos. 4:6). Everyone who desires rest must be willing to learn and walk in them (Mat. 11:29).
- The Lifestyle of Love for God.
Love for God is the most potent force in the kingdom; it silences all storms and establishes rest on all sides (1Cor. 13:8; 2:9; Rms. 8:28). If the desire is all-round rest, the choice to love God as a priority is a must (Jn. 21:15-17).
- Be Planted in God’s House.
God’s house, the church, is the city of refuge where a person runs into to enjoy rest from all that troubles others in life (2Sam. 7:10; Oba. 17; Psa. 132:13-16). The choice to settle down with God and in His house is the wisdom for all-round rest (2Chr. 15:12-15).
- Enter into Covenant to Serve God.
Serving God is not just about being active, but it is practical commitment to growth of the church and advancement of God’s kingdom (Mat. 6:33; 16:18). It is a covenant force that guarantees all-round rest in life (2Chr. 15:12-15).
Conclusion.
We live in a world characterized by unrest, particularly as we move towards the final end (Jn. 16:33; Mat. 24:6-7,21,22). Only those who accept responsibility to operate with the covenant keys escape and experience rest.
Salvation Prayer.
To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
- Father, endow me by the Holy Spirit with the grace to operate absolutely by the keys for rest, granting access to the realm of all-round rest from today (Zch. 4:6-7).
- Father, by the power of the blood of the covenant, I am delivered from all vices of the devil that make me walk out of covenant practice (Rev. 12:11).
- Father, I command every storm in and against my life to cease right now, and never again (Mat. 8:26).

Like: economic depression, famine, storms of evil, marital crises, the scourge of divorce, high risks of health breakdown etc. The Israelites in Egypt are vivid examples of divine exemption, as they were exempted from all plagues (Exo. 8:20-24; 9:1-7,18-24; 10:21-23; 11:4-7).
