Memory verse:
“And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. 2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. 3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.” – Mal. 2:1-3.
We need to keep reminding ourselves that God’s kingdom is a kingdom of mysteries Mk. 4:11. God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo defined mysteries as principles of the kingdom, embedded in scriptures and unfolded to believers for victory over life circumstances. One of the outcomes of thanking God is outbreak of God’s blessing Jn. 6:6-11. For our thanksgiving to be effective, our hearts must be involved, and this requires that we have reasons for thanking God.
Reason for Our Thanksgiving as A Commission.
- For Supernatural Church Growth Experience.
This commission, “Living Faith Church Worldwide” shall be 45 years by Saturday May 2 2026. In these 45 years, we have kept experiencing continuous growth on every side Pro. 4:18. We must understand that:
- God is the one that adds to the church, not the effort of people Acts 2:41,47; 1Cor. 3:6.
- God is the multiplier of the flock; no one can add a cubic to his stature 127:1-2; Jer. 30:19; Mat. 6:27.
- This means that the explosive growth experience across our churches worldwide has been purely by the hand of God 3:17; Acts 16:4-5.
Our thanksgiving this week is intentional, and it is clearly stated that it is not us but God who has done all we see today Jer. 13:15-17.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, thank you for your faithfulness to us over these 45 years as a commission, families, and individuals Psa. 92:1-2.
Action.
Recount all the good works of God to you since you joined this commission.
