God is the author of the family institution Gen. 1:26-28. One of His purposes for instituting the family is for blessing; the family is where God deposits His blessing for humanity Gen. 12:3.

What is in Blessing?

  1. It empowers for total wellbeing on life.

God’s blessing terminates poverty, hardship, and makes life wholesome Pro. 10:22.

  1. It Empowers for Success and Fulfilment.

When God’s blessing comes on a person, failure is turned to success, struggles to breakthrough Gen. 1:28.

  1. It Secures Against Curses and Destruction.

God’s blessing terminates curses, and stalls destruction Num. 23:8,20,23; Isa. 65:8.

When God’s blessing is on a family, it flows into the life of every member Psa. 133:1-3. Often, it takes one man to connect the family to God’s blessing Gen. 12:2-3. If a sincere appraisal shows that your family lacks God’s blessing, you can take responsibility to bring that family under God’s blessing.

What must I Do to Secure God’s Blessing on My Family?

  1. Be Genuinely Born Again.

Salvation is a non-negotiable requirement and the first step to connect to God’s blessing Gal. 3:13-14. Until a man is truly born again, he is not entitled to God’s blessing Acts 3:26.

  1. Take Responsibility as God’s Link to Your Family.

God needs only a man who will stand before Him, to grant access to the family Ezk. 22:30. This means that we should take position as the Joseph and Esther for the rescue of our families Gen. 45:5-7; Est. 4:14-16.

  1. Continue to Intercede for the Salvation of Members of the Family.

As we have said, salvation is the point of disconnect and shift from experiencing woes to blessing in life; we must labor towards members of our family experiencing this personally Mat. 11:28. This is by standing at the prayer altar demanding for salvation of our nuclear and extended family members Psa. 2:8; Acts 10:24-34,44; 16:30-31.

  1. Enter into a Covenant to Serve God.

Serving God invokes God’s blessings, thereby bringing an end to all assaults of the wicked Gen. 23:25-26; 2Chr. 15:12-15; Mat. 6:33. As God’s link to the family, we must be committed to serving God and leading family members into this dimension of life.

Conclusion.

The good news is that God’s blessings are ordained to go down through generations Psa. 112:1-3. When an individual takes responsibility, the upcoming generations come under the flow of blessings. As each generation embraces same responsibility, the blessing keeps pushing down o next generation.

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father, by the blood of Jesus, every evil handwriting against my family is blotted out now 2:14.
  2. Father, I demand for the outpouring of the showers of blessings upon my family beginning with my life from this moment 34:26.
