One cannot understand the danger of a thing, and need encouragement again to drop it Isa. 1:18. This means that when we see anyone who is practicing sin, he is yet to understood the consequences.

Cost of Ungodliness.

The practice of sin and ungodly life is costly! Some of the costs are:

1. It Stirs Fear and Dread.

Sin and ungodly practices make victim to fear, which leads to torments Pro. 28:1; 1Jn. 4:18.

2. It Blocks Access to God’ s Presence.

Divine presence makes all the difference in life; victory or defeat, success or failure, progress or stagnant Exo. 33:14-15. Sin presents people from experiencing God’s presence Heb. 12:14; Psa. 101:7; 15:1-5.

3. It Blocks Access to Divine Favor.

God’s favor delivers from toiling, hardship, and struggles in life Exo3:21. Ungodliness desires people for enjoying divine favor Psa. 5:12; Gen. 39:5; 41:35-44.

Pathways to Sanctification.

These are some of the scriptural requirements for a sanctified life.

1. Keep a Godly Company.

To attain unto sanctification and maintain it, one must keep godly inner circle or friends Psa. 1:1-3; Pro. 13:20. Keeping ungodly persons around you will lead to ungodly life, whether you want to or you don’t 1Cor. 15:33.

2. Engage the Power of Testimonies.

When we learn from what God did in the past, put same to practice, we invoke God to repeat the act again Ecc. 1:9; Mal. 3:6. David recalled how God helped him to bring done a lion and a bear, he engaged what he did to bring down Goliath as well 1Sam. 17:34-36.48-49. One can bring done any sin that is trying to mock one’s destiny by engaging the testimony of Jesus, either in one’s life or someone else Psa. 119:111; Rev. 12:11.

3. Mortify the Deeds of the Fles through the Spirit.

To mortify means to subdue bodily desires through self-denial – this is vital for anyone who truly desires a sanctified life Col. 3:5-6,13. To mortify can also be presented as saying no to cravings and demands of the flesh. It is by the Holy Spirit, not our own strength that we can effectively achieve this Jude 1:20; Rms. 8:13; Zch. 4:6.

Conclusion.

Anyone who is sincere and will accept responsibility will attain to sanctification without fail.

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

1. Father, I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for the life of sanctification, thereby giving me access to God’s blessing 8:2.
