Redemption entitles believers to experience continuous turnaround until they emerge in greatness Jn. 1:12; Pro. 4:18. Scriptures show that faith is the kingdom force that stirs turnaround Mk. 9:23: 1Jn. 5:4. If faith is this powerful, why are believers faced with challenges that seems to defy solutions? It is often due to lack of understanding of faith, and how to activate it Pro. 13:15.
What is Faith?
- Obedience to God.
Faith is obeying God to prove your belief in Him, leading to the confirmation of His word. Faith is not genuine without corresponding action Jms. 2:17-18.
- Reasoning with God.
Faith involves reasoning with God in light of His word to discover actionable steps for actualizing His promises. The Bible is divine documentation that guides believers Jos. 1:8. We must search for and commit to His instructions to receive His promises 1Tim. 4:13,15; Heb. 4:2.
- Acting on God’s word.
Faith is not merely waiting for God to work; it is actively putting His word to work to compel God to fulfill His promises. We must obey His instruction to see His promises realized Php. 2:12; 2Cor. 6:2; Jn. 2:5-10; Pro. 3:27-28.
How Powerful is Faith?
- Secures God’s Hand.
When Faith is alive, it invokes God’s hand into the believer’s situation instantly Isa. 53:1. Faith is not genuine when it lacks corresponding action Jms. 2:17-18.
- Draws on God’s Power.
Active faith triggers God’s power leading to miraculous changes Lk. 8:40-44; Dan. 6:6-16,18-22.
- Invokes Divine Intervention.
Faith ensures immediate intervention, terminating unwanted situations Mat. 9:27-29; Mk. 2:1-12.
- Commits God’s Integrity.
God cannot lie, His promises are guaranteed when we understand our part Tit. 1:2; Heb. 6:16. Faith is what brings God’s truth to life in our experiences Jn. 6:28-29; 2Tim. 2:13.
How to Keep your Faith Growing.
- Hearing and Understanding the Word.
Faih grows the word of God, which fuels it Rms. 10:17. Our understanding of the word ignites faith, and the depth of this understanding defines our level of faith Acts 8:23-26. Hearing and studying are vital factors essential to gain understanding 2Tim. 2:15.
- Meditating on God’s Word.
Meditation is the art of deep and prolonged thinking on God’s word to gaiin understanding Isa. 1:18; Php. 4:8. It boosts spiritual understanding of the word Psa. 119:97-100.
Conclusion.
Faith is a spiritual responsibility that enriches the Christian experience Mk. 9:23. It is a personal, anyone can embrace this responsibility to generate mountain-moving faith.
Salvation Prayer.
To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
- Father, I receive the help of the Holy Spirit to keep growing my faith, making your promises become a reality in my life from now on 9:23.
