There is what scriptures referred to as the mystery of predestination Eph. 1:3-11. This is the understanding that God has a prepared life made ready for each man on the earth Jer. 1:5; Gal. 1:15-16. Salvation is God’s invitation, which makes a man to step into the life prepared for him Rms. 8:29-30. In essence, an individual’s response to salvation brings him into the life God has made ready for him on the earth. What is this life? We need to understand and see it, for us to be able to experience it Gen. 13:14-15; Jer. 1:11-12.

The Destiny of the Believer in Christ.

The good news is that we all have a common destiny in Christ, what is this destiny?

  1. A prosperous destiny.

The life God has prepared for everyone in Christ is one that there will be no scarcity of any good thing Deu. 8:7-9; 2Cor. 8:9; Rev. 5:12. This is what is called the prosperous life, and it is the life destined for every man in Christ.

  1. A pacesetting destiny.

God has prepared a life where the believer will always take the lead, breaking and setting new records Mat. 5:13-14; Jn. 8:12; 14:12; Rev. 22:16.

We have established from scriptures that salvation is what brings a man into the prepared life. Therefore, one must be sure of his salvation, in order to have the guarantee of experiencing the glorious destiny in Christ.

How do I Know I am Saved?

  1. Through the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit.

True salvation makes the believer to exhibit the characteristics of a living or regenerated spirit, called the fruit of the Spirit Gal. 5:22-23. There are nine (9) of them, but two of focus today are:

  1. i)

This is the virtue of acknowledging one’s limit of knowledge, and the willingness to learn Jms. 4:7; Mat. 5:5; Psa. 25:9.

  1. ii)

This is the virtue of having goodwill to all men, even those that are against one’s life Eph. 6:6-7; Lk. 2:12-14.

  1. Through supernatural rescue from the works of the flesh.

True salvation makes the believer to no longer exhibit the characteristics of the flesh, because the flesh is now dead Rms. 7:17-25; Gal. 5:19-20. There are nine (9) of them, but two of focus today are:

  1. i) Carnal comparison.

Another word for this is unhealthy and ungodly competition, jealousy, which the scriptures say is unwise 2Cor. 10:12; 1Cor. 7:20,24.

  1. ii)

Another word for this is bitter disagreement, conflict, quarrel 2Tim. 2:23-24; Jms. 4:1-3.

Keys to Realizing our Colorful Destiny in Christ.

Salvation brings the believer into destiny, but accepting responsibility makes him to experience the destiny in reality. What are these responsibilities?

  1. Commit to learning from anointed ministers.

Our level of knowledge is very vital to realizing our destiny in Christ Hos. 4:6; Jn. 8:32. We learn from those who have obtained results, and their materials becomes relevant Isa. 30:20-21; Jer. 3:15-16; Acts 8:26-28. Studying and searching for knowledge is labor, a lazy believer cannot experience his glorious destiny.

  1. Engage in prayer and fasting for spiritual understanding.

Knowledge is not enough, one must upgrade it into understanding for destiny to become a reality Isa. 5:13; Psa. 119:144; Pro. 21:26. Prayer and fasting is the platform to connect the Holy Spirit and access depths of understanding in the things of the spirit Jer. 33:3; Isa. 58:6,8-12; Psa. 119:18.

In conclusion, the truth is this, you were created by God for a great and glorious life on the earth. This has been settled by God before you were born, but everything to make it the reality now depends on you!

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, by your Spirit deliver me from every enemy of my destiny in Christ 59:19.
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit to embrace the responsibilities for full delivery of my destiny in Christ 3:16.
