Sickness and disease are major ways by which Satan holds men in bondage and oppression Lk. 13:11; Acts 10:38. Christ came on the earth to deliver man from satanic bondage and oppression, and to establish the believer in dominion in life 1Jn. 3:8; Jn. 10:10. The first thing for the believer to walk in dominion over sickness and disease is to understand that at the root of every sickness and disease is a spirit at work Mat. 8:16-17; Acts 10:38.

The Spirit behind Diverse Sickness and Disease.

1. Unclean spirit.

This is the spirit behind all kinds of bondage to wrong and dirty habits, acts and attitude Mk. 5:2-8; Lk. 9:38-42. Afflictions like bad eating habit, eating one’s vomit, indecent dressing and appearance, addiction to drugs in spite of ill-health, smoking etc all have damaging effect on health.

1. The spirit of insanity.

This is the spirit that affects the mind of man, to cause mental imbalance of all sorts Lk. 8:26-29; Act. 10:38. This include things like; memory loss, depression, anxiety, hallucination, insanity etc.

Provisions to Walk in Dominion over sicknesses and Diseases.

1. The Holy Communion.

The Holy Communion is a mystery of the kingdom that has the guarantee of strength, health and longevity for every believer that will receive and believe it 1Cor. 11:23-25,29-30. The communion is made-up of the bread and drink, which are the flesh and blood of Jesus respectively Mat. 26:28-29; Jn. 6:48-58.

How the Holy Communion Empowers for Dominion over Sickness and Disease?

1. The Holy Communion transmits the supernatural life of Christ to the believer.

The supernatural life of Christ is transmitted through the communion into the believer’ spirit, soul and body, thereby making his life to be above what any sickness, disease or affliction can touch Jn. 6:53-54,57; 17:18; 1Ths. 5:23; Heb. 9:14.

What is the Flesh that Heals?

1. The bread, which is the flesh of Christ, is likened to the ‘Rod’ of Moses (God).

The rod of Moses swallowed the rods of the magicians Exo. 7:11. Jesus is that New Testament rod, and His flesh is eaten, it will swallow every rod of the wicked (sickness, disease etc.) trying to exact on the body of the believer Isa. 11:1; Lk. 10:19; Psa. 125:3.

1. The flesh is the ‘miracle meal’, New Testament manna.

Elisha used a type of this miracle meal in the Old Testament to neutralize the poison in their food 2Kgs. 4:39-41. When the flesh in the communion is eaten, every poison in the believer’s body is neutralized, and destroys every sickness. The Israelite ate manna in the wilderness and was not sick, feeble nor weak for 40 years Psa. 105:37. In the same vein, eating the flesh in the communion makes the believer to walk in health, and strength all his days Jn. 6:58.

What is in the Blood that Heals?

1. The dominion nature of Christ.

By the drinking the blood in the communion, the believer takes in the life and nature of Christ, which is resident in the blood Lev. 17:11. This is immune to sickness and disease; thereby the believer is empowered to walk in dominion over sickness and disease Jn. 6:54; Php. 2:9-11.

1. The blood group of Christ.

By drinking the blood in the communion, the believer comes on the same blood group of Christ, which cannot be affected by any sickness or disease thereby making the believer to walk in dominion over sickness and disease Mat. 26:27-28; Jn. 6:53-56.

In conclusion, we have this potent and guaranteed prescription for our dominion over sickness and disease, why then do believer’s still become victim of disease, sickness, affliction and oppression? Jer. 8:20-22. It is must be because God gave us the prescription, but will not force anyone to receive or take it.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me, thank you Jesus for restoring me, thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

1. Father in the name of Jesus, I believe in the Holy Communion as the prescription for my dominion over sickness and disease Jn. 6:53-56.
2. Father in the name of Jesus, by the power in the communion, I receive the restoration of my total health now and will walk in dominion over sickness and disease from today 1Cor. 11:26.
3. Father in the name of Jesus, by the communion my eyes are opened to see and step into everything prepared for me in Christ Lk. 24:31-32.
