The pursuit of church growth is a commandment of scripture to every believer, and every commandment of scripture is absolutely for the benefit of believers who obey (Hag. 1:8; 2Tim. 3:16-17). This implies the pursuit of the enlargement and growth of the church benefits believers. We have established from scripture that engaging in kingdom advancement prayer is the core way to pursue kingdom advancement and church growth (Isa. 66:7-8). This is because a praying church is always a growing church, and every growing church must remain a praying church or the growth will cease (Acts 3:1; 6:4,7).

What is in Kingdom-Advancement Prayer for Me?

1. Kingdom Advancement Prayer Makes a Believer Prevail as One Man.

The altar of prayer is the platform of supernatural empowerment; it turns a mere person into a mighty man of valor (Acts 4:31,33). The wonder of engaging in kingdom-advancement prayer is that it has the capacity to make us prevail as one man on the prayer altar. For instance, shame and reproach were rolled away from Jerusalem through the effectual prayer of Nehemiah (Neh. 1:1-11; 2:1-8; 5:14; 6:15). Will you make yourself that one person God is looking for to stand in the gap for His kingdom for such a time as this?
